Item type:Item, STABILITY ANALYSIS AND ERROR ESTIMATES OF LOCAL DISCONTINUOUS GALERKIN METHOD FOR CONVECTION-DIFFUSION EQUATIONS ON OVERLAPPING MESH WITH NON-PERIODIC BOUNDARY CONDITIONS(2021-01-01) ;Chuenjarern, Nattaporn ;Wuttanachamsri, KanognudgeYang, YangA new local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) method for convection-diffusion equations on overlapping meshes with periodic boundary conditions was introduced in [14]. With the new method, the primary variable u and the auxiliary variable p = u<inf>x</inf> are solved on different meshes. In this paper, we will extend the idea to convection-diffusion equations with non-periodic boundary conditions, i.e. Neumann and Dirichlet boundary conditions. The main difference is to adjust the boundary cells. Moreover, we study the stability and suboptimal error estimates. Finally, numerical experiments are given to verify the theoretical findings. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Hypothesis testing based on observation from Thai sentiment classification(2017-06-01) ;Netisopakul, Ponrudee ;Pasupa, KitsuchartLertsuksakda, RathawutThis work focuses on error analyzes from the Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification on Thai children stories at a sentence level. The construction of the Sentiment Term Tagging System (STTS) program allows the researchers to make observations and hypothesize around the areas where most anomalies occur. Three hypotheses, based on terms sentiment chosen for SVM predictions, are evidently proved to hold. In addition, a number of ways to improve the Thai sentiment classification research are suggested, including considerations to add negation into the process, add weighing scheme for different part-of-speech, disambiguate word senses, and update the Thai sentiment resource. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Error analysis of tissue resistivity measurement(2002-04-30) ;Tsai, Jang Zern ;Will, James A. ;Stelle, Scott Hubbard Van ;Cao, HongTungjitkusolmun, SupanWe identified the error sources in a system for measuring tissue resistivity at eight frequencies from 1 Hz to 1 MHz using the four-terminal method. We expressed the measured resistivity with an analytical formula containing all error terms. We conducted practical error measurements with in-vivo and bench-top experiments. We averaged errors at all frequencies for all measurements. The standard deviations of error of the quantization error of the 8-bit digital oscilloscope with voltage averaging, the nonideality of the circuit, the in-vivo motion artifact and electrical interference combined to yield an error of ±1.19%. The dimension error in measuring the syringe tube for measuring the reference saline resistivity added ±1.32% error. The estimation of the working probe constant by interpolating a set of probe constants measured in reference saline solutions added ±0.48% error. The difference in the current magnitudes used during the probe calibration and that during the tissue resistivity measurement caused ±0.14% error. Variation of the electrode spacing, alignment, and electrode surface property due to the insertion of electrodes into the tissue caused ±0.61% error. We combined the above errors to yield an overall standard deviation error of the measured tissue resistivity of ±1.96%.
