Item type:Item, Evaluation of RFID Propagation Channels with Wooden and Metal Bookshelves Based on Measurement Data(2023-01-01) ;Supramongkonset, Jatuporn ;Rattasuwan, KotchakornPromwong, SathapornThis paper studies the propagation that occurs in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The purpose of this study is to establish a model to study the energy and efficiency of the system. Experimenting with two model of bookshelf models. Wood and metal bookshelves are used as models to measure data. Microstrip antenna are used as a transmitter (Tx antenna) and a receiver (Rx antenna) at frequency of 2.45 GHz channels in co-polarization. From the data of this measurement result, we can observe the tendency of path loss arising from the change in distance and the effect of the signal in both wood and metal bookshelf by the contouring of the path loss signal. The results showed that the co-polarization had higher path loss at increased distances. By path loss modeling using contour method it was found that at measuring point near the edge of the bookshelf There is path loss in the edge of metal bookshelf higher than the edges of wooden bookshelf. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Quantitative Experimental Evaluation of RFID Propagation Loss with Wooden and Metal Bookshelves(2023-01-01) ;Supramongkonset, JatupornPromwong, SathapornRadio frequency identification (RFID) is wireless multimedia applications for bookshelves experimental system to replace the barcodes media technology. The RFID propagation channel characteristics and environment effect should be known. In this study to evaluate the RFID propagation loss with wooden and metal bookshelves based on data of measurement. Experimental study evaluation of RFID multimedia system with bookshelves is using vector network analyzer (VNA) and the microstrip patch antennas of transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) antennas at a frequency range from 2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz. The results of experiment are considering the path loss, received signal strength (RSS), and comparison the path loss differences with cumulative distribution function (CDF) to evaluated, respectively. In this research work are necessary for RFID antenna design and evaluate the RFID multimedia systems.
