We propose a new system of the secret data encoding using a quantum memory that can be formed the high capacity secret codes for camera security. The high capacity encoding is formed by using the spatial mode of the soliton pulse, where the selected output can be stored and the quantum code generated. The perfect security concept by using the single photon property can be used within the embedded device in the camera.

A novel method of security camera operation is proposed. In the method, security cameras, which encrypt the taken images and store them into the memory card inside, are used. Only when crimes occur, the memory cards are taken out from the cameras and the images are decrypted with the key and viewed by the city government and/or the police. When no crimes occur, images are overwritten by the new ones after a week automatically without being viewed by anyone. By using the stand-alone cameras without wiring to the control center, the installation cost and the operation cost are much lower than CCTV cameras. By using image encryption, the privacy of the tourists is protected. Using this system, high density installation of the security cameras with very low cost can be realized in encryption with image encryption privacy protection function.

We propose a new design of a security camera system that uses the dense wavelength division multiplexing wavelength enhancement, whereas increasing in channel capacity and security can be provided. The increasing in number of channel can be obtained by the increasing in wavelength density, while the security is introduced by the specific wavelength filter, which is operated by the central operator. The optical communication wavelength enhancement is reviewed. The advantage is that the proposed system can be implemented and used incorporating with the existed communication link in either wire/wireless system, where the human privacy can be provided, which is discussed in details.

In the world today, people are living with rush and competition for a better life and brighter future, which leads to stressful life and consequently causes physical and mental illness. Both kinds of illness can negatively affect oneself and others, especially the mental illness. That is the person with mental illness can, consciously and unconsciously, commit a crime both harmful to himself and others. Among various methods, music therapy is the effective ways to cure these symptoms and illnesses. Music therapy via wireless distribution (MTWD), is a concept that combines musical tele-therapy to the benefits of security camera, which is a very interesting new idea aiming to prevent and cure symptoms and illnesses caused by stress. The concept will be discussed in details.

The e-JIKEI Network, a concept for realizing a safer and more comfortable community, and the e-JIKEI Camera, a stand-alone camera developed for the e-JIKEI Network, are reviewed. The concept of the e-JIKEI Network is that residents view their surroundings using cheap cameras, which act as their eyes, and home computers, which act as their brains, using the free software provided by us through the Internet. For the complete protection of the privacy of ordinary citizens, we propose a second concept supporting the concept of the e-JIKEI Network; in this concept, those who own and manage images (owners) and those who have the right to view these images (viewers) are separated by means of image encryption. Since 2004, the " Dairi-EYE" series, a free software for a personal computer (PC)-based system, has been distributed through our website. However, the use of PCs is not very user-friendly. Therefore, an all-in-one device called the " e-JIKEI Camera" has been developed. A social experiment of the e-JIKEI Network using e-JIKEI Cameras has been carried out. © 2010 Elsevier Ltd.
