Item type:Item, Dual-Mode Tunable First-Order Universal Filters with Single VDGA(2024-01-01) ;Roongmuanpha, Natchanai ;Pukkalanun, TattayaTangsrirat, WorapongThis article explores two compact structures to implement dual-mode first-order universal filters, providing lowpass, highpass, and allpass responses from the same structure. Both circuits offer savings in active components as they employ a single voltage differencing gain amplifier (VDGA). The first proposed filter has voltage inputs and current/voltage outputs with a single capacitor, which can perform three distinct filter functions in both voltage mode (VM) and trans-admittance mode (TAM). The latter filter, with current inputs and current/voltage outputs, consists of one capacitor and one resistor, which is capable of operating in both current mode (CM) and trans-impedance mode (TIM). Both of the proposed filters also offer an electronic adjustment of the passband gain and pole frequency through the VDGA’s transconductance values. The non-ideal implications of the VDGA on the first-order filters' performance are thoroughly examined. Computer simulations and experimental testing measurements validate the theoretical analyses. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Floating Inductance Simulator with Electronic Tuning Property Using only Active Elements(2023-01-01) ;Roongmuanpha, Natchanai ;Mongkolwai, Pratya ;Pukkalanun, Tattaya ;Dumawipata, TeerasilapaTangsrirat, WorapongThis paper discusses the active-only electronically tunable floating lossless inductance simulator, which uses a single fully balanced-voltage differencing buffered amplifier (FB-VDBA) and one operational amplifier (OA). For this implementation, only integrated circuit packages with no external passive components are utilized. The synthetic equivalent inductance value is electronically adjustable via the transconductance gain of the FB-VDBA. Non-idealities of the active element have produced their effects. Using PSPICE with TSMC 0.25-mum CMOS parameter and the LM741 type OA, the performance of the proposed circuit and its application as a second-order voltage-mode lowpass filter is demonstrated. The numerical simulations closely matched the theoretical results. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Duty-Cycle Electronically Tunable Triangular/Square Wave Generator Using LT1228 Commercially Available ICs for Capacitive Sensor Interfacing Generator Using LT1228 Commercially Available ICs for Capacitive Sensor Interfacing(2022-07-01) ;Silapan, Phamorn ;Choykhuntod, Pawich ;Kaewon, RapeepanJaikla, WinaiThis paper proposes a duty-cycle electronically tunable triangular/square wave generator using LT1228 commercially available ICs for capacitive sensor interfacing. The generator comprises two LT1228s, a grounded resistor, and a grounded capacitor. The circuit provides two output signals which are triangular and square waves. Both signals are regulated by adjusting the current bias. Likewise, the amplitude of the triangular signal can be tuned electronically without affecting the frequency. In addition, the square wave can independently control the linear duty cycle via tuning the voltage. Experiment results confirm the performance of the proposed circuit that the amplitude of the triangular wave, frequency, and duty cycle are linearly controllable via current or voltage, which do not affect each other. The duty cycle, the amplitude of the triangular wave, and frequency have maximum errors of ±1.60%, ±3.33%, and ±2.55%, respectively. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, High-Input-Impedance Four-Input Single-Output Voltage-Mode Biquadratic Filter with Only VDTAs and Grounded Capacitors(2022-01-01) ;Satansup, Jetsdaporn ;Pukkalanun, TattayaTangsrirat, WorapongThis paper presents a voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter with voltage differencing transconductance amplifiers (VDTAs) as active components. The proposed filter comprises four inputs and a single output and can perform all five general biquadratic filter functions, namely lowpass, bandpass, highpass, bandstop, and allpass responses, without modifying the circuit architecture. It also offers the advantages of resistorless implementation with only two grounded capacitors, orthogonal adjustment of the natural angular frequency and the quality factor, as well as the absence of any constraint related to the values of input signals. Moreover, because the circuit contains all of the high input impedance levels, it may be cascaded without the requirement of additional buffers. The suggested filter's functioning has been validated by simulations using the PSPICE application. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Practical Floating Capacitance Multiplier Implementation with Commercially Available IC LT1228s(2021-03-01) ;Roongmuanpha, NatchanaiTangsrirat, WorapongA practical realization of a tunable floating capacitance multiplier using commercially available integrated circuits, namely LT1228 is proposed. The synthetic capacitor utilizes only two IC LT1228s along with two passive components (one resistor and one capacitor). The capacitance multiplication factor is electronically controllable through the transconductance gain of the LT1228. The effects of non-ideal transfer gains and parasitic elements of the LT1228 on the circuit performance have been evaluated in detail. The applicability of the proposed floating capacitance multiplier as a second-order band-pass filter is also presented. The claimed theory is verified by several PSPICE simulations and experimental test results. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Three-Input One-Output Voltage-Mode Biquadratic Filter Using Single VDBA(2020-03-01) ;Roongmuanpha, Natchanai ;Pukkalanun, TattayaTangsrirat, WorapongIn this article, a voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter with triple inputs and single output (TISO) is presented. The circuit consists of only one voltage differencing buffered amplifier (VDBA) along with two capacitors and one resistor. The proposed circuit can realize all five standard biquadratic filter functions namely, lowpass (LP), highpass (HP), bandpass (BP), bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP) without disturbing the circuit structure. The quality factor (Q) and the natural angular frequency (ωo) of the proposed circuit can be controlled by means of the transconductance gain of the VDBA. The circuit also provides low sensitivity performance. The potentiality of the proposed TISO biquadratic filter has been proved by PSPICE program based on TSMC 0.25-μm CMOS technology. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, On The Realization of Simulated Lossy Inductors Using Voltage Differencing Buffered Amplifiers(2020-03-01) ;Moonmuang, Pitchayanin ;Roongmuanpha, Natchanai ;Pukkalanun, TattayaTangsrirat, WorapongThis paper reports four topologies, all simulating floating/grounded lossy inductors, using voltage differencing buffered amplifiers (VDBAs) as active elements. The simulated equivalent resistance and inductance values of the simulators can be adjusted electronically through the VDBA transconductance parameter. Item type:Item, Two-input two-output current-mode universal biquad using only VDTAs and grounded capacitors(2018-06-08) ;Moonmuang, Pitchayanin ;Mongkolwai, PratyaTangsrirat, WorapongA two-input two-output current-mode universal biquad employing only two voltage differencing transconductance amplifiers (VDTAs) and two grounded capacitors is introduced. By appropriately connecting the input and output terminals, the proposed circuit can realize lowpass, bandpass, highpass, bandstop and allpass current responses. It also exhibits an independent electronic control of the natural angular frequency (ω<inf>o</inf>) and the quality factor (Q) by properly setting the transconductance values of the VDTAs. No critical component matching choices are imposed for generating all the filter functions, and all incremental parameter sensitivities are low.
