Item type:Publication, Shifting Thai mobile user behavior and its impact on mobile regulation(2017-07-01)This study investigated the determinants of mobile- only user (mobivore) subscribers in the Thai mobile communications market. Survey data from 2014 along with a probit model were employed for analysis. Results showed that Thai subscriber characteristics including gender, home location, ownership of a smartphone, employment as a government official, private-sector executive and self-employed, and the type of Internet application, can significantly explain mobile-only user behavior of Thai mobile subscribers. Findings also showed that subscribers who were heavy Internet users used other complimentary services. Additionally, telecom regulators should consider implementing a quality of service regulation which provides the opportunity for rural subscribers to better access mobile services, and develop a spectrum allocation policy that is consistent with the high demand of a mobile only user. Item type:Publication, Willingness to pay for cloud computing service of SME in Thailand(2017-06-15)This study examined the factor affecting a decision to use cloud computing service for Thai SMEs. A questionnaire was employed for data collection from a sample of SMEs that use cloud computing technology in the Bangkok area during January 2015-June 2015. A statistic model was utilized in order to analyses the determined factor on using cloud computing service of Thai SMEs. Moreover, the willingness-to-pay (WTP) to additional cloud computing service was calculated. The findings can be used to gauge SMEs demand for improved cloud computing services and infrastructure. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Extended Reality Technologies for Sustainable Development of Learning and Education in Indonesia(2022-11-22); The development of Extended Reality (XR) technologies has reached a new advanced level today, which could be proposed as the main support in solving education problems in Indonesia. As a result, this manuscript seeks to provide an initial framework to support the idea of suggesting the most recent XR technologies as primary instruments in promoting the Sustainable Development of Learning and Education (SDLE). Based on the literature review, the old but gold Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework is extended with several constructs in proposing this initial framework. Several constructs proposed in this initial proposed framework are Perceived Easy-of-Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Attitude Toward Use (ATU), Intention to Use (ITU), User Satisfaction (US), Learner Flexibility (LF), Self-Efficacy (SF), and Perceived Health Risk (PRH). Certainly, further research is needed to assess and determine the validity of this preliminary framework in order to serve as a guide for scientists, experts, and other stakeholders interested in integrating XR technologies for SDLE.
