    Application of EFA and AHP in the Last-Mile Delivery Service in Thailand

    Significant growth in electronic commerce in the 2010s has led to substantial expansion in last-mile delivery service for packages. Shifts in people's daily lifestyles also stimulate demand for the delivery of groceries and ready-to-consume meals. While the increasing number of last-mile delivery service providers offers customers more alternatives, the decision-making process involves more factors than just price and time. This paper aims to reveal factors affecting the decision to select last-mile delivery service providers by using exploratory factor analysis and analytical hierarchy process. Data were collected in two periods for differential analysis. It has been found that apart from price, quality, and time, customers are also concerned about the safety of online transactions and service innovation. Alarmingly, the environment is the least influential decision factor, leading to recommendations to further investigation on green practices awareness in the industry.

    Assessing the UAVs' Requirements and Capabilities For Humanitarian Logistics Operations in Thailand

    This article aims to identify and assess the design requirements and capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles used in the area of humanitarian logistics, particularly for the delivery of aid packages, to alleviate the impact and casualties from natural disaster's victims in Thailand. Designed restrictions and sub-restrictions were identified from past literature and an expert interview. By applying a multi-criteria decision-making analysis tool, which is the analytical hierarchy process, design restrictions and sub-restrictions was quantified and prioritized. Primary data was collected through private, face-to-face interviews. Respondents are UAV pilots, UAV developers from associated industries, and UAV researcher. The computed outputs revealed that the payload capacity of the UAVs, the weight of aid packages, the flight range, and the battery power capacity were among the sub-restrictions with the highest relative importance, while flight performance is the most important restrictions in the drones' design requirements. On the contrary, the speed of UAV and the operating cost were the sub-restrictions with the smallest effect.

    Success Factors and Partnership Evaluation of Air–Rail Integration Development: A Case of a High-Speed Rail Project Linking Three Airports in Thailand

    As the air–rail integration continues to emerge around the globe, the successful and maintainable implementation of such schemes can be influenced by many factors within administrative, social, infrastructural, and economic aspects. With the existing airport rail link system that shifted from air–rail integration at beginning to air–rail cooperation at present, this work aims to assess the success factors of air–rail integration development in Thailand and evaluate the partnership level required to achieve a long-term and indefinite horizon of relationship based on an ongoing airport rail link project in the country. The factor assessment results from using fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (AHP) revealed different perspectives from regulators and operators, while directing the high influence of administrative, economic, and infrastructural factors. The partnership evaluation suggested the highest level of partnership; although, the operators still express doubt whether the competitive advantages incurred from the partnership and the partnership itself would be sustainable.
