Item type:Publication, Real time human emotion monitoring based on bio-signals(2018-12-10)Nowadays, medical technologies are rapidly improved leading to an increasing of life expectancy that caused ageing society problems. The most vital issue for elders is a health problem in both physical and mental aspect. This paper focuses on emotional monitoring and warning system using human Bio-signals in real time. The signals come from galvanic skin response and heart rate sensor that attached with a wristband wearing by the elders. The two signals are sent to a server as inputs, calculated using Fuzzy set variable model then return emotion and health status of the elder as outputs stored in the server. The proposed system is run based on ubiquitous computing so caretakers can monitor for the elder’s emotion in real time anywhere, any time. Moreover, the caretakers also get automatically alerts from the system in a case that the system returns an irregular health status of the elders. Experimental results show that the proposed system was run with a high accuracy rate. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Android-based surveillance car(2015-01-26)Nowadays, mobile phone technologies have been developed in many aspects both software and hardware. In this era, a mobile phone contains many smart functions that perform with higher speed but lower price than before. A smart phone attracts people and almost everyone already possess. This paper illustrates a method to build a surveillance car that is controlled by a smart phone with an android operating system. The advantage of the surveillance car over the surveillance camera is that the car can move around the area freely, so a user can get any point of view in video format from a camera that is attached to the car. Moreover, with temperature sensor, the user can monitor and prevent a house fire. In the present study, the system was composed of two smart phones. The first one held by a user received video content from the second one attached to the car. The user could control the direction of the car by sliding fingers on a touch screen or tilting a smart phone. At this stage, the signal was sent to the second one which passed it to the microcontroller board controlling the movement of the car. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Moreover, the robot can be used to check humidity of the soil and sending the information to a cloud server. The information from the server will be used in the fuzzy algorithm to determine plan of the planting for the user. In the present study, two Android based smartphone are required. One smartphone was attached to the robot and acted as a robot's eyes and brain. Another was held by the user to monitor a video content sending from the robot's eyes. The user can control a movement of the robot by sliding fingers on a touch screen or tilting the smartphone. If he sees weeds along the way, he can send the command to the robot to immediately cut it. Furthermore, the user also can ask the robot to measure a soil humidity and view the result online in real-time. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Automatic labeling for thai news articles based on vector representation of documents(2018-08-13) ;Jirasirilerd, WiphadaNowadays, the most powerful news source in the world comes from online media on the Internet. The information comes from the SNS, video clips, audio clips or various news websites. In this competitive world, many news websites are mainly focused on publishing their contents to the website as fast as they can without taking time to label them correctly. This leads to a problem where readers cannot find news that they are interested in from a large amount of information on the website. In this paper, we propose a method to automatically label articles on the Thai language website using distributed representation of documents. The semantic similar words are extracted from paragraph vectors of each category of news and assign them as labels. We apply the convolutional neural network with binary classification approach to separate words from sentences and the result of the experiments indicated that our method can be applied to automatically label Thai news article effectively. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Measuring icon recognization mapping with automated decision making system(2019-07-01); Khongtrakan, YanaphatNowadays, mobile technology has been rapidly improved in both hardware and software aspects. Thus, many applications have been built and install in a smartphone. To find an application in the smartphone, a user has to search through various icons that design based on functions of the application. The purpose of this research is to build an automatic system that helps software designers to decide if the designed-icon is a proper icon that could be recognized by the user easily or not using entropy, Canny edge detection, and decision tree. Two experiments are reported in this research. 100 icons in both Android and iPhone operation system were used in both experiments. The sample included undergraduate students and workers in Thailand (n=90) ages ranged from 18 to 57. The first experiment was made in order to find a relationship among edge, entropy and human visual processing and use it as a training and testing dataset for the proposed system. The second experiment shows that the proposed system can be used to judge for a proper icon property with 73.33% accuracy rate. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Telecare application and tools for older adults(2015-01-26)Recently, with the innovation of modern medical technology, the elderly population has been rapidly increased than before. In the past, without the Internet technology, the elderly must spend their life in the nursing home even though they are not in any serious sickness due to the expensive wage of the personal curator. Fortunately, nowadays, the capability of mobile phone and the quality of networking have been improved. With the proposed model, the elderly health care strategy is changed. To begin with, the questionnaire has been carried out to the caretaker of the elderly. The result shows that almost all of them would like to tend the elderly at home if these three major problems; falling, medicine taking, and monitoring, can be solved. In this paper, not only the senior patient can recuperate at home safely without home health aides but also, this new model runs with everyday technologies and low-cost equipment such as Smartphone. The falling is detected with an integrated tri-axial gyroscope and the alert will be sent to the caretaker via the Internet. The medicine taking problem is solved with the medicine box that can be controlled by the caretaker in a remote distance. Lastly, the monitoring application is developed. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Web Service Based Food Additive Inventory Management with Forecasting System(2018-09-11)Recently, food industries have been growing rapidly due to the development of novel technology. Numerous research has been conducted to improve products to satisfy the needs of customers. As a result, various food additives have been used to compose the product and which makes it difficult in recognizing and managing food additive stock. To be able to survive in a competitive world, the industry must find a practical stock management solution since under-stocking causes the industry to lose an opportunity to sell while overstocking causes a deficit. This paper focuses on an inventory management and a stock forecasting system. Web service was implemented as a new approach for an inventory management system that helps to manage and to find the food additives that exist in the international food additive database authorized by Codex Alimentarius Commission. Using web services has many advantages than a traditional web base. The service provider does not have to reveal the database access method to the client, and the information or business model can be changed at any time, and no need to update the client side. The client can access the service via any platform. The web service has been developed through Hypertext Mark up Language 5 (HTML5), Node JavaScript (NodeJS), and My Structured Query Language (MySQL), Database Management System, Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP). The stock forecasting was done by Python with four machine learning models which are Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, Linear Regression and Support Vector Regression to predict stock of food additive. Accuracy is used to measure the performance of these techniques. The experimental result indicated that the most accurate model for stock forecasting is Linear regression. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Small gardening robot with decision-making watering system(2019-01-01)At present, people who live in the countryside tend to move downtown in order to get jobs. As a consequence, only elders and children live in their hometowns with plenty of land left uncultivated. The aim of this research is to build cheap small gardening robots to help people grow plants in small yards as a hobby via a long-distance communication system. In this research, two robots composed of Raspberry Pi and ESP32 microcontrollers, which are low-price controller boards and convenient to buy within the country, were constructed. The robots can be controlled from long distances using Android smartphones. The capacities of the two robots with the two types of microcontroller are compared and discussed. To measure the soil moisture content, two types of moisture sensor, which are capacitive and resistive sensors, were implemented in this project. There are two main functions of the proposed model, which are weed cutting and watering plants. Moreover, a decision-making watering system was implemented and connected to moisture sensors and sprinkler controllers placed in the user’s garden. The robots were placed in the northern region of Thailand, while the user stayed in the central region and remotely controlled them with a smartphone for three months. The results show that the automatic watering system is better than a manual watering system since the plant growth rate for the automatic watering system was 20% higher than that for the manual watering system. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
