Item type:Publication, CubeSat image transmission in JPEG compression: An experiment on high altitude platform(2016-03-23); ; ;Sukchalerm, PolkitPlodpai, AniwatCubeSat is a type of picosatellite which is developed with the purposes of promoting and development the skills necessary for the design, manufacturing, and testing of small satellites in the future. This paper presents our work on CubeSat design and development which focuses on JPEG compression and transmission to ground station. And this paper also uses the high altitude balloon to verify CubeSat functions as it is low cost experiments but can provide conditions similar to spacelike: pressure, temperature, air density as well as distance for communication. This paper will discuss the testing result of CubeSat on high altitude balloon to examine functions, verify link budget and signal strength in stratosphere at maximum altitude of 24 kilometers. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Morphology-based algorithm and application for mammographic masses segmentation(2013-01-01) ;Suapang, Piyamas ;Naruephai, ChadapornMedical images segmentation is an important work for object recognition of the human organs and it is an important pre-processing step in medical image segmentation and 3D reconstruction. Conventionally, segmentation is detected according to some early brought forward algorithms such as gradient-based algorithm and template-based algorithm, but they are not so good for noise medical image segmentation. In this paper, basic morphological theory and operations are introduced at first, and then a novel morphological segmentation algorithm is proposed to detect the segment of mammographic masses with salt-And-pepper noise. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is more efficient for medical image denoising and segmentation than the usually used template-based segmentation algorithms and general morphological segmentation algorithms. Furthermore, the application is helpful for physician and doctors in diagnosis of the breast cancer in further steps. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Cubic Hermite interpolation will be formulated to cubic Hermite VFD filter which the amplitude response and delay response of proposed cubic Hermite VFD filter depend on the used approximation of first derivative. The structure realization of cubic Hermite VFD filter is shown based on Farrow structure as well. Item type:Publication, Variable to variable crossover in GA to solve PAPR reduction in OFDM systems(2014-02-12) ;U-Thong, Sutud ;Pradabpet, Chusit ;La-Inchua, Jaraspat; Soontornwong, ParinyaThe hybrid of partial transmit sequences (PTS) and cascade adaptive peak power reduction (CAPPR) methods have been used to reduce peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. When number of sub-block increases, PAPR is getting small. However, the calculation cost of its selection must be considerably large. We introduce variable to variable crossover in GA, the total calculation cost becomes drastically reduced. The parameter for simulation used standard WLAN in IEEE 802.11a system. Item type:Publication, Selecting an access point for indoor localization system using frequency analysis(2019-07-01) ;Suwannawach, PiyapanEven though Indoor localization system has been continuously developed, there have also been some amounts of errors in the positioning due to the variance of the signal. This paper proposes a method to help selecting an access point to reduce the variance of received signal strength indicator (RSSI) using frequency analysis and applied genetic algorithm to search the optimal weights for weighted distant fingerprint algorithm (WDF). Experiments were conducted in the indoor environment using android mobile received signal strength from the access point and the proposed algorithm compared with K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm and conventional weighted distant fingerprint (WDF) algorithm. Results have demonstrated the proposed algorithm that can improve an increased accuracy up to 89.75% for more accurate identification. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The transfer functions in z-domain of universal biquadratic digital filter that can give five outputs simultaneously are obtained by bilinear s-z transformation using modified bilinear Pascal matrix. The universal biquadratic digital filter structure has shown before the tunable approach of universal biquadratic digital filter will be derived later. Item type:Publication, Development of NOAA satellites ground station: A redundancy system(2012-12-01) ;Kaikeaw, Nawattakorn; Meehuathon, SinghaThis paper aims to introduce a redundant system for NOAA in the Automatic Picture Transmission (APT) mode at the Thailand Ground Receiving Station. The Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) has the capability to downlink NOAA satellites data in High Rate Picture Transmission (HRPT) mode which operates in L-band (1670-1710 MHz). However, if this system fails GISTDA is not able to receive any NOAA data. A redundant system is now considered to prevent or reduce the risk of service outage in case of a downlink failure. The proposed redundant system consists of a low cost antenna, a receiver in Automatic Picture Transmission (APT) mode, recording system, decoder software, database system that can be accessed via the internet. The Antenna and receiver in APT mode are operated in the VHF frequency range (137-138 MHz). Therefore, the cost is lower than the receiving system which operates in HRPT mode. The proposed system also includes a recording system and data processing unit in order to process the satellite images by using the freeware decoder software. All archive images can be viewed via catalogue browsing system and stored in a database system on a server where users can have access to these images via the internet. In addition, such a system is very useful as a backup system for downlink NOAA data from the satellites. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A new key generator for data encryption using chaos in digital filter(2017-10-17) ;Pich, Reatrey; The presented work of this paper is to propose the implementation of chaotic crypto-system with the new key generator using chaos in digital filter for data encryption and decryption. The chaos in digital filter of the second order system is produced by the coefficients which are initialed in the key generator to produce other new coefficients. Private key system using the initial coefficients value condition and dynamic input as password of 16 characters is to generate the coefficients for crypto-system. In addition, we have tension specifically to propose the solution of data security in lightweight cryptography based on external and internal key in which conducts with the appropriate key sensitivity plus high performance. The chaos in digital filter has functioned as the main major in the system. The experimental results illustrate that the proposed data encryption with new key generator system is the high sensitive system with accuracy key test 99% and can make data more secure with high performance. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Wireless intelligent fall detection and movement classification using fuzzy logic(2012-12-01) ;Putchana, Wuttichai; Global population aging leads to increased interests in preventive healthcare technology. As falls are the most common cause of injury or death in old persons, fall detection and movement classification is one of the key topics in this research area. In this paper we propose a simple wireless intelligent system prototype for fall detection and movement classification for real-time monitoring of the elderly. The portable sensor unit acquires data from a triaxial accelerometer and sends the data wirelessly to a computer using Zigbee technology. Alternative to classic methods, the movement data is analyzed using a fuzzy inference system. The system is designed to distinguish between four movement types: standing, sitting, forward fall, and backward fall. Its classification accuracy is investigated using experimental data. It is observed that the system performs well with high sensitivity and excellent specificity. Additionally, the system is applicable for monitoring rehabilitative patients and is extendable to a larger class of movements and postures. ©2012 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Modeling and simulation in passive bistatic radar for detecting target range and velocity application to USRP B-210 SDR(2019-07-01) ;Chunsangnetr, ThongtermThe propose of this paper is to improve the performance of Passive Bistatic Radar. The process of developed model has three steps. Firstly, the integration of the designed Passive Bistatic Radar algorithm such as coherent receiver USRP B-210, Least Mean Square (LMS) adaptive filter for noise cancellation, cross correlation for comparing similarity of two series signals and the result display on time scope for range and velocity of the targets. Secondly, the test on the overall system with the simulation targets in real time environment. Thirdly, the evaluation on the result of simulation for the range and velocity of the targets. The result of this experiment is more stable because of better synchronization receiver, noise cancellation in designed LMS which is close to the LMS simulink block, range and velocity from cross correlation for comparing similarity of the signals appear correctly. Conclusion, the simulations show that the proposed algorithms improve the performance of Passive Bistatic Radar.
