    Stochastic algorithms for managing the flows of material resources of a logistics hub

    Digital logistics platforms have already become a major trend in the recent years, making dramatic advances during the COVID-19 pandemic. The architecture of modern logistics industry exhibits a tendency towards consolidation of commerce into networks. Making decisions in such a business environment is difficult due to imperfect algorithms, which is the main obstacle to increasing the economic feasibility of logisitcs. This study considers the development of an algorithmic basis for the software shell of the control server processing the flow of data on the movement of goods and cargo through a network. Because it is more profitable to use two-stage rather than single-stage nodes for intermediate storage and processing in modern commercial networks, the mathematical model should reflect the complex structure of such a logistics hub. The algorithms were developed acccounting for the stochastic nature of the flows of goods and cargo due to the market uncertainty of the operating conditions of the logistics hub.

    Digital Transformation SCM in View of COVID-19 from Thailand SMEs Perspective

    Digital transformation involves the use of digital technologies to reorganize the operational processes and make them more effective and efficient. The article covers the problem of digital transformation of supply chain management (SCM) due to the changing business environment, and the desire to meet the customers’ demand. The authors prove that the supply chain management processes are altered, such as reduction of product design and a manufacturing period, faster delivery of products to customers, easily meeting the preferences and demands of customers and faster and effective decision-making supported by big data and analytical decision techniques. In Thailand, digital transformation has been considered critical, particularly with the SMEs, which account for a significant proportion of the country’s GDP. Some of the techniques that should be involved in the digitalization process include adoption of a learning culture, roadmap to development, creation of awareness, collaboration and support. In the wake of COVID-19, digital transformation has proved more essential through e-commerce and online transactions. Within this COVID-19 pandemic period and in future, the software and applications that could be used by SMEs in their process of digitalization include 3D-printers, Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), Computer Aided Design (CAD), Product Lifecycle Management (PLC), Customer Relationship Management programs, Virtual Assistance, Artificial Intelligence, Total Quality Management (TQM), Just in Time (JIT), Just in Time (JIT), Lean Manufacturing (LM) among others. Some of the initiatives that could be implemented by the government include developing legal and regulatory framework of SMEs, supporting digitalization of SCM.

    Predictive methodology for assessing periodic market fluctuations

    The paper presents the results of developing algorithms aimed at optimizing managerial decision-making in commerce. The most difficult task in constructing algorithms for supporting managerial decisions within the Industry 4.0 paradigm is to develop an interface for machine-to-machine interaction between data flows describing the current market demand and software-controlled subsystems of digital logistics platforms. Several problems have to be solved, taking into account diverse criteria. We used methods of stochastic mathematical modeling, queuing theory and the theory of optimal decisions, proposing a procedure for assessing periodic movements of consumer demand with uncertain dynamics of market indicators. A convenient implementation is offered in the form of software for digital logistics platforms, relevant for a wide range of business applications.

    Digital transformation of the Russian venture ecosystem under the impact of the COVID-19

    The article analyzes current trends in the digital transformation of the Russian venture ecosystem and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the venture ecosystem in the context of innovative development of Russian regions. The purpose of the study is to identify key areas of development of the domestic venture ecosystem in the pre-pandemic period and under the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic. The problem of the functioning of mechanisms for the development of the innovation process has recently become of increasing interest to specialists in various scientific fields. As in the global venture capital market, the domestic venture ecosystem has faced typical challenges in the context of the Covid-19. In the context of the pandemic and in the post-pandemic period, the most startups have been canceled or postponed at least until the end of 2020 or 2021. The forced pause in the work of innovative enterprises during the pandemic had a very negative impact on their financial condition - even large, stable enterprises operating in the market found it difficult to bear constant expenses without an influx of income. As a result of the research, the main directions of transformation of the domestic venture ecosystem and prospects for innovative development of Russian regions are identified. Firstly, the trend to optimize investment portfolios inspires a reduction in the number of venture transactions. Secondly, there has been a significant transformation in the structure of the venture capital market. Finally, there is a rush of interest in startups in both healthcare and biotechnology.
