In this paper, a new class of a variable step-size algorithm for a second-order lattice form structure adaptive IIR notch filter for detection of sinusoids in noise environments is presented. The proposed algorithm is adjusting two variable coefficients of the adaptive IIR notch filter : one is variable notch frequency and the other is variable notch bandwidth. By the proposed method, the optimization of the coefficients of the filter is obtained. The computer simulation results are shown that the proposed algorithm provides fast convergence speed, low mean square error, low variance of filter coefficients and high impulsive noise robustness. Moreover, to verify the new adaptive algorithm by application to reducing 50-Hz interference in ECG signal. As results, it is evident that the new algorithm gives a good performance. © 2006 IEEE.

This paper describes the triangular slot antenna in the ground plane of the microstrip line. The slot antenna coupled by microstrip line are proposed, and the characteristics of input impedance, S parameter and far field patterns of radiation are obtained by using the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method.

In this paper, the design consideration for right-hand (clockwise) and left-hand (counterclockwise) circularly polarized microstrip slot antennas are presented. The circularly polarized antenna consists of two right angle slot antennas that is two orthogonal modes in phase quadrature or an array of linearly polarized slot with proper orientations and phases. This antenna can generate circular polarization by radiating orthogonal field components from two slots with equal amplitude but in phase quadrature. Two orientations for circularly polarized are investigated in this paper from simulation and measurement results are shown at resonance frequency 2.45 GHz on return loss, VSWR and radiation patterns.I © 2008 IEEE.

A novel compact and light weight antenna for dual band and dual polarized right angle slot antenna fed by micorstrip line use in wireless network technology is designed. The antenna composed of three right angle slot radiators on a same ground plane. Two right angle slots in the same size are arranged for circularly polarized at frequency 4.95 GHz and the other one is designed for linearly polarized at frequency 2.45 GHz. Therefore, in order to achieve dual band and dual polarized with good matching, the technique of arrangement is recommended. The simulation results of return loss, VSWR, gain, axial ratio, and radiation patterns are shown at resonant frequency 2.45 GHz and 4.95 GHz. ©ICROS.
