Abstract
A comparative study of the discrete array pattern synthesis is presented. The array designs using Taylor one parameter together with the orthogonal polynomial method are described. Array characteristics, such as radiation pattern, half-power beamwidth, first-null beamwidth, directivity, the nearest to the furthest minor lobe ratio, and beam efficiency are illustrated. The advantages and disadvantages of each method are presented.
