Abstract
This paper concerns finding the appropriate output buffer size in switching. It can reduce the cost and complexity of switching. By considering the packet loss probability or mean delay to be the measurement. We found the optimal buffer size in term of the percentage of packet loss probability and the approximation percent relative delay.
