Abstract
This paper considers of the effect of motor parameter changes on harmonic loss based on experimental loss characteristic curves and the modified harmonic equivalent circuit. The investigation into harmonic loss of different induction machine features under various operating conditions has been made. These results can be used for interpreting harmonic loss mechanisms. As a consequence, possible changes to parameters to improve machine performance with regard to harmonic loss are identified.
