Abstract
In this paper, the characterization of transmission loss with indoor and outdoor in ultra wideband impulse radio (UWB-IR) system is improved by using the matched filter at the receiver side. The measurement is performed between the corridor (indoor) and parking area (outdoor) environments [1]. The matched filter is used to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The optimum matched filter and the transmitted signal template are considered. The technique gives very accurate result and very useful for design UWB-IR transmission signal waveform. © 2006 IEEE.
