Abstract
This research presents a passive UHF RFID tag antenna design. The compact size antenna can be achieved by using modified split ring resonator (SRR). The structure contains a square SRR connected with a circular SRR on the radiating part to increase the antenna length. The proposed tag antenna is a paper-based which uses the paper as the substrate. It is a low-cost, flexible and suitable for mass production. The proposed tag antenna size is 38 mm × 38 mm and the |S11| of better than-10 dB that can cover the frequency range of 920-925 MHz. The maximum read range is 3.20 m. The modified SRR can decrease the antenna size.
