Noise-reduction method for ROM/ACC filters

Abstract

A noise-reduction method for the coefficient roundoff noise in a ROM/ACC filter is proposed and demonstrated. The method of realisation is a modification of the contents of the look-up table of the ROM to include the error feedback. Therefore, it does not need time-consuming procedures, and is suitable for a filter implemented by using a microprocessor. © 1984, The Institution of Electrical Engineers. All rights reserved.
