Abstract
Mobile communication has become more popular for the past few years. The Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) is the Pan-European digital cellular system standard. This paper presents a new stream cipher for message encryption and decryption. The proposed keystream generator always produces bit sequence of evenly distributed 0 's and 1's, with infinite period. The proposed stream cipher is not only has more the number of bits that differ in the plaintext than the GSM stream cipher, but also has less computational time.
