Dual-polarized circular ring antenna with short pin

Abstract

This paper presents the design of dual-polarized circular ring antenna with short pin to ground plane. The antenna is proposed to use in the Multiple-Input Multiple-Output communication systems. The parameters of the antenna that are ring radius (a), ring width (d), probe length (l), short pin length (p), and ground plane size (G) were analyzed at the operating frequency of 2.2 GHz. The results showed the S11 was lower than-11 dB with the S11 of-17 dB. The effective of the short pin that used for reducing the mutual coupling between two probes can be investigated.
