Abstract
Using energy efficiently will help alleviate the climate change, one major purpose of smart home development is to achieve that by employing Home Energy Management System. In this paper we propose an agent framework based on an object-oriented and logical approach for HEMS to achieve home energy efficiency. The framework embraces demand-side management and efficient use of energy in a smart home.
