Abstract
In this paper, a real-time realization technique of a two-band linear-phase digital loudspeaker crossover network using digital HR filters is proposed. The proposed system gives linear time-invariance by truncating the infinite impulse response of all sub-IIR filters to a finite length. Moreover, the proposed loudspeaker crossover network achieves desirable properties because the overall magnitude response do not have a boost or dip around the cross over frequency, which is significant to high-quality loudspeaker crossover networks. In addition, simulation results show that the proposed system provides an overall flat magnitude and group delay responses and also gives higher slope and stop-band attenuation than the prototype elliptic IIR filter.
