Abstract
The Energy-Utilization Diagram (EUD), which represents the characteristics of a process system by showing exergy loss due to transformed energy, is applied to a case study of gypsum board production. The energy utilization of a conventional process is shown by a graphic simulator, GSCHEMER. A new process of gypsum board production is proposed and the energy consumption of the plant is discussed for both the conventional and proposed systems.
