Abstract
This investigation shows how the weak bond between inclusion boundary and wire matrix affected stress distribution, maximum tensile stress, drawing stress and wire breakage in inclusion copper wire drawing by 2D FEM. Necking was found on the copper wire surface at the wire portion which contained the inclusion. The maximum tensile stress and the minimum drawing stress of inclusion copper wire drawing were obtained. It was seen that the inclusion size and the weak bond between inclusion boundary and wire matrix strongly affected tensile stress, drawing stress and wire breakage.
