Abstract
A wideband antenna radiating unidirectional beam is proposed by using a conical reflector excited by a circular ring. The radiation characteristics such as radiation pattern and directivity are simulated using Numerical Electromagnetic Code based on Method of Moments. The impedance characteristics are measured to clarify the impedance bandwidth. The experimental results of radiation pattern are compared with the theoretical results. From the results of the investigation, it is obvious that the efficient directivity with wide bandwidth is achieved. This antenna is very useful in the case that the wide bandwidth applications are necessary. ©2005 IEEE.
