Abstract
The focusing resolution is very important performance for ultra wideband (UWB) imaging systems. In this paper, the accuracy of focusing resolution is improved for UWB imaging systems. The time-reversal (TR) electromagnetic (EM) pulse propagation is done via the numerical simulation of finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The modulated Gaussian pulse is used as the UWB EM pulse. The accuracy is improved by increasing the elements of TR array (TRA). The directional error of each case is shown and investigated. From the results, we clearly see that the increasing of TRA elements can be improved the accuracy of focusing resolution. ©2007 IEEE.
