Abstract
This paper presents a new Schmitt trigger circuit technique with superior performance over CMOS and previous BiCMOS Schmitt trigger at low supply voltage down to 1.5 V. The transient saturation technique of BiCMOS is used to achieve a full swing, high speed and low voltage operation for a large capacitive load. By use of feedback signal from output to control forward (VT+) and reverse trigger voltage (VT-), only two more transistors are required to carry out when compared with a high performance BiCMOS inverter. The simulations result of switching characteristics, propagation delay time have been presented.
