Abstract
The input impedance of a rectangular cavity-backed slot antenna, fed by a linear electric probe, was analyzed. The integral equations were established under boundary conditions on slot and probe using the dyadic Green's functions. To determine the impedance characteristics, the method of moments technique was used. The numerical results of input impedance were demonstrated for different parameters. The results showed that the nominal resistance and reactance of the antenna increased with the length of the probe.
