Abstract
A simple technique to extend bandwidth of a coplanar waveguide-fed monopole antenna is proposed.This is achieved by bending a straight monopole to a circular arc. The technique is proven with several designs based on electromagnetic simulation where the technique applicability is experimentally demonstrated by a dual-band monopole. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
