Abstract
This paper presents the analysis of a soft-switched boost converter using a single switch and low reactive components without the auxiliary active switches for achieving zerovoltage turn on and zero-current turn off. The paper describes the operating characteristics, and analyzes the overall performances compared with the conventional boost converter. A comparison of conducted electromagnetic interference emission of conventional and proposed circuits is also included. In addition, the experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretical ones.
