Abstract
This paper presents the characteristics of a horizontally polarized omnidirectional antenna using a circular array of axial slots on the cylinder. This antenna is proposed to be the transmitting antenna for a TV broadcasting system. The structure of the antenna is simple, i.e. a slot array antenna cut on the conducting cylindrical surface. The pattern appears to be the omnidirectional pattern. The directivity can be enhanced by increasing the number of rings of the array.
