Abstract
In this paper, a triple band textile antenna using split annular ring is presented for wearable applications of WLAN and WiMAX systems. The proposed antenna is designed to cover the frequency of 2.40 GHz (2.40 GHz to 2.484 GHz), 3.50 GHz (3.40 GHz to 3.69 GHz) and 5.20 GHz (5.15 GHz to 5.35 GHz). The antenna is made of felt fabric with dielectric constant of 1.90 as a substrate to obtain flexibility and lightweight structure. The characteristics of antenna such as |S11|, radiation pattern and gain were investigated theoretically and experimentally. The simulation and measurement results are in reasonable agreement. Results show that the proposed antenna has good performance, can be applied for wearable applications.
