Abstract
Khlui the Thai duct flute is the Thai traditional instrument which is used as the one of the solo in Thai classical music. It plays an important role for Thai traditional music ensemble. In this paper, the features of the sounds produced by 3 Khluis are analyzed. These feature are used for classifying which one make from a good material and produce the high quality of sound. First, the sounds produced by 3 same kind of Khluis, Peang Aw, were recorded. Then, the temporal and spectral features of each sound were investigated. The accuracy of the results was confirmed by the professional Thai traditional music players.
