Abstract
The purposes of the study for Environmental Management of Sky Train Station Area, Chaophraya River, Bangkok for Smart Transportation and Traffic are; 1) To study the physical environment around Chaophraya river, sky train station area. 2) To design the environment for a station near Chaophraya river, Phra Nang Klao Bridge Station. 3) To propose the guidelines for environmental management of sky train station area near Chaophraya river for smart transportation and traffic. This is survey and observation research using observation form and interview. Field survey was conducted around Phra Nang Klao Bridge Station at Chaophraya river area, and the data were descriptive analyzed. According to physical characteristic information of Phra Nang Klao Bridge Station at Chaophraya river area, it was found that this area is an important connecting point of mass transit system, boat and public bus. This is potential area to support commuters; thus, this is lead to summary of guideline for environmental management of Phra Nang Klao Bridge Station at Chaophraya river area. The proposed guideline is land use to develop Chaophraya river area to be a public area that facilitates recreational activities, such as, green area for smart transportation and traffic and orange area for merchant. Environmental management would be suitable for use pattern for most benefits.
