dc.description.abstractThis paper investigates the principle of a steerable spherical slot array antcnna. By combining the advantages of a spherical array in which the beam shape can be kept constant as it is steered in any direction, a simple beam steering mechanism of an active array antenna and a simple array element, a cost effective steerable antenna can be achieved. This antenna is useful in a mobile communication system.
