dc.description.abstractThis paper presents the use of multi-wavelength solitons (colored solitons) generated by light in a modified add-drop optical filter. It is made by InGaAsP/InP and known as a PANDA ring circuit. The basic digital codes '0' and '1' can be randomly formed by using the dark-bright soliton conversion concept. In this case the high capacity (bit rate) can be generated by nonlinear effects of the two side rings, where the multi-wavelength solitons, i.e. visible (color) solitons can easily be generated and the random bits formed. By using the multiplexed color solitons, the high capacity bit rate transmission can be obtained and seen. Moreover, the long distance is also the advantage, which is useful for small scale digital device applications, especially, for telephone handset, tablet and small digital devices and systems, in which live data transmission can be realized. © 2013 IEEE.
