dc.description.abstractA microstrip waveguide Gunn oscillator is proposed. The oscillator utilizes frequency-selective feedback from the periodic structures created in the microstrip waveguide to the Gunn diode to achieve stable oscillation. An oscillator design by means of an equivalent-circuit model is described. The observed oscillation characteristics of an X-band microstrip waveguide Gunn oscillator are reported. © 1989 Taylor & Francis Ltd.
