This paper presents the analysis of magnetic vector potential and magnetic field distribution with various magnet configurations in the rotor and stator of permanent magnet generator. The model of the magnetic field is calculated by magnetic vector potential using a set of second-order partial differential equations. Computer-based simulation utilizing a finite element method in the time harmonic mode, instructed in computer programming environment with graphical represented by magnetic field strength has been evaluated. The simulation results show the magnetic vector potential and magnetic field, that is used in designing the generator in order to increase efficiency.
