Item type:Publication, Influence of annealing temperature on optical properties of fluoride doped tin oxide films grown by the sol-gel spin-coating method(2016-10-12) ;Kahattha, C. ;Noonuruk, R.Fluoride-doped Tin Oxide (FTO) thin films were deposited on glass and silicon substrates by the sol-gel spin-coating method using stannic chloride pentahydrate (SnCl<inf>4</inf>·5H<inf>2</inf>O) and ammonium fluoride (NH<inf>4</inf>F) as starting precursors for Sn and F sources. As-deposited films were annealed at different temperatures ranging from 300–600°C. The effect of annealing temperature on structural and optical properties of FTO thin films including crystallinity, surface morphology, optical transparency, optical reflectivity and optical band gap are investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and UV-VIS spectrophotometry. The XRD results suggest that the prominent peak in the (110) orientation can be indexed to the polycrystalline SnO<inf>2</inf> structure without any impurity phase caused by fluoride doping. The transmittance spectra of fluoride-doped tin oxide thin films show good transparency in the visible region with noticeable variation in its structural and optical reflectance properties depending on annealing temperature. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Synthesis of vanadium oxide/titanium dioxide nanocomposites via sonochemical and hydrothermal process and their utilisation for energy storage application(2014-01-01) ;Kahattha, C. ;Techitdheera, W.; This work focuses on the synthesis of V<inf>2</inf>O<inf>5</inf>/TiO <inf>2</inf> nanocomposites by sonochemical and hydrothermal process. First, titanium dioxide (TiO<inf>2</inf>) nanopowders were synthesised by sonochemical process using titanium isopropoxide as a titanium source. Meanwhile, hydrothermal process was employed to modify the structure of commercial V <inf>2</inf>O<inf>5</inf> powder to be nanorod-like structure V <inf>2</inf>O<inf>5</inf> to increase its specific surface area. Structural and morphological properties of the composites were characterised by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. The XRD results indicate that the crystallisation of the composite corresponds to anatase and orthorhombic structures of TiO<inf>2</inf> and V <inf>2</inf>O<inf>5</inf>, respectively. The significant variation of charge storage properties of the composites under ultraviolet irradiation was obtained by varying V<inf>2</inf>O<inf>5</inf> content in the composite. Results suggest that V<inf>2</inf>O<inf>5</inf> loaded into the nanocomposite plays a key role as a storage material of photoelectrons generated by TiO<inf>2</inf> illuminated by ultraviolet irradiation. Item type:Publication, Effect of tin loading on physical properties and phase transformation of as-synthesized Zn-Sn-O compound powder synthesized by co-precipitation method(2014-01-01) ;Kahattha, C. ;Chongsri, K. ;Noonuruk, R.; Zinc-Tin oxide compounds (Zn-Sn-O) were successfully prepared via a facile co-precipitation process using zinc dichloride dihydrate as the zinc source and tin tetrachloride pentahydrate as an additive source. The as-prepared product of Zn-Sn-O powders with various Sn additive contents (0-60 %wt) were obtained without calcinations process. The effect of Sn additive on structural and microstructure properties of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM). The results indicate that the crystallinity and morphologies of ZnO nanoparticles are significantly influenced by Sn additive. The phase formations of Zn-Sn-O including ZnO, ZnSn(OH)<inf>6</inf> were observed depending on the Sn-additive composition.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Physical properties of V-doped TiO2 nanoparticles synthesized by sonochemical-assisted process(2013-05-01) ;Kahattha, C. ;Wongpisutpaisan, N.; V-doped TiO<inf>2</inf> nanoparticles were synthesized by sonochemical process using titanium isopropoxide as a titanium source, vanadyl acetylacetonate as a dopant source. Sonication was conducted using sonic horn operated at 20 kHz for 20 min until the completely precipitated product was reached. The as-synthesized precipitates with various vanadium dopant (1-5 mol %) were calcined at 500-1000 °C for 4 h. The relevant physical properties of the nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). The anatase phase TiO<inf>2</inf> nanoparticles can be synthesized by sonochemical process. Post calcinations process results in the anatase-to-rutile phase transformation and the enhancement in crystallinity with increasing temperature. The results also indicate good incorporation of V ions in TiO<inf>2</inf> lattices and significant effect of V dopant on alternation of interplanar spacing of TiO <inf>2</inf>. © 2012 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Characterization of Sol-gel derived Ti-doped tungsten oxide electrochromic thin films(2011-01-01) ;Paipitak, K. ;Kahattha, C. ;Techitdheera, W. ;Porntheeraphat, S.Ti-doped WO<inf>3</inf> electrochromic thin films were deposited onto F-doped tin oxide (FTO) substrates using spin coating technique. The as-deposited films prepared with various concentration of titanium were annealed in air at 500°C. The effect of Ti-doping concentration on structural, surface morphology and optical properties of the films were characterized by X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope and UV-VIS spectrophotometer. The results show that the crystalline of WO<inf>3</inf> can be identified at 2θ values of 24.14° corresponding to 200 orientation. In addition, It was found that the electrochromic performance of WO<inf>3</inf> can be enhanced by small doping concentration of titanium due to structural modification of the films. © 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
