Item type:Publication, Rectangular slot antenna with Asymmetrical conductor strip for bandwidth enhancement coverage UWB standard(2014-01-01) ;Archevapanich, Tuanjai ;Rakluea, Paitoon ;Anantrasirichai, Noppin ;Purahong, BoonchanaChutchavong, VanvisaThis paper presents the bandwidth enhancement of rectangular slot antenna fed by microstrip line on the flexible Mylar Polyester film substrate. Asymmetrical conductor strip is designed and inserted in the rectangular slot to extend the bandwidth from 3.06 GHz to 7.2 GHz frequency range. Besides, the rectangular conductor at the end of the feeding microstrip line is introduced for increasing the bandwidth at high frequency up to 12.32 GHz. This improved antenna to cover standard frequency range of UWB (3.1 GHz – 10.6 GHz). Finally, as to reject the frequency band of IEEE 802.11a (5.15 GHz – 5.35 GHz), the line strip at the side of tuning stub is added. In this case, the band-notched frequency from 5.15GHz to 5.38 GHz can be easily obtained. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Multiband microstrip-fed right angle slot antenna design for wireless communication systems(2009-06-01) ;Rakluea, Paitoon ;Anantrasirichai, Noppin ;Janchitrapongvej, KanokWakabayashi, ToshioThis paper presents a novel multiband microstrip-fed right angle slot antenna design technique for multiple independent frequency bands. The new technique uses various slot sizes at various appropriate positions. We first propose a tri-band slot antenna consisting of three right angle slots. Then, a quad-band slot antenna is developed with four right angle slots which achieves slant ±45° linear polarization, omnidirectional pattern coverage, good antenna gain, and acceptable impedance bandwidths over all the operating frequency range. Moreover, an opencircuited tuning stub is introduced to achieve good impedance matching. Both proposed antennas are designed on a ground plane of RT/duroid 5880 substrate with a thickness of 1.575 mm. The real measurable results show that the desired frequencies used in wireless communication systems, namely, WLAN and WiMax, are efficiently achieved. © 2009 ETRI. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Study on microstrip line fed rectangular slot antenna for widen bandwidth(2009-01-01) ;Achevapanich, T. ;Arsusiri, N. ;Purahong, B. ;Sangaroon, O.Anantrasirichai, N.The simple rectangular slot antenna fed by microstrip line is design and use as an original antenna for study on the various shapes of tuning stub for widen bandwidth. The tuning stub is design at the end of the microstsrip line on the other side of slot antenna. The shape and size of tuning stub will affect to the bandwidth, the adjustment parameters dimension of stub can achieve desirable bandwidth. The bandwidth of the original antenna without stub is 0.5 GHz from frequency range 2.24-2.74 GHz. In this paper, we proposed the four shapes of tuning stub for achieved either single widen bandwidth or dual widen bandwidth use in wireless communications. The bandwidth of slot antenna is expanded more than 1 GHz up to 7 GHz depend on the shape of tuning stub and its parameters. The simulated return loss and bandwidth can be obtained by using IE3D software. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Wide-band slot antenna fed by coplanar waveguide for WLAN applications(2009-01-01) ;Kueathaweekun, W. ;Puntheeranurak, S. ;Benjangkaprasert, C. ;Anantrasirichai, N.Wakabayashi, T.This paper presents the slot antenna fed by coplanar waveguide (CPW) for WLAN applications. The characteristics of an antenna are proposed and analyzed for instance return loss, bandwidth and far field radiation patterns. Simulation results of the proposed antenna show the impedance bandwidth, determined by-10 dB return loss, approximate 140 % (1.66-9.44GHz) of the center band. The radiation patterns are bi-directional, and maximum gain is 5.7 dBi at 5.0 GHz. The simulation results of the slot antenna are analyzed by using IE3D Software. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, CPW-fed slot antenna with inset L-strip tuning stub for ultra-wideband(2008-12-01) ;Archevapanich, T. ;Jearapraditkul, P. ;Puntheeranurak, S. ;Anantrasirichai, N.Sangaroon, O.The coplanar waveguide fed slot antenna with inset L-stripe tuning stub is proposed for UWB applications. The antenna consists of two rectangular slots separated by center strip with CPW feed line. This antenna is design for match impedance with 50 ohm of characteristic impedance of transmission line by using inset L-stripe tuning stub for wideband matching. By adjusting dimension of inset L-strip tuning stub, the range of bandwidth can be achieved 144.6% (1.80 GHz -11.2 GHz) of the center band coverage standard of IEEE 802.15a for ultra wideband operation. The characteristics of antenna are proposed and analyzed for instance input impedance, return loss, bandwidth, VSWR, and far field radiation patterns. © 2008 SICE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, A circular micro strip antenna with tuning stub above wide-slot ground plane for band-notched uwb using inverted-U slot(2007-12-01) ;Chawanonphithak, YuktitathPhongcharoenpanich, ChuwongA simple and compact circular microstrip antenna with tuning stub above wide-slot ground plane for band-notched ultra wide-band (UWB) using inverted-U slot is presented. The proposed antenna is easy to be integrated with microwave circuitry for low manufacturing cost. The antenna is successfully designed, simulated and measured including SWR, radiation patterns and gain. The antenna can operate in the 2.8-12.8 GHz frequency range and cover the UWB operating bandwidth of 3.1-10.6 GHz with a notched frequency band of 5.06-5.96 GHz. The antenna gain varies from -4.1 dBi to 7.1 dBi and yields bidirectional pattern.
