The growing of rice seeds (Oryza sativa L.) on a primary root stage are experimented under the condition with electric field at 28.5 kV/m varied electrode in horizontal direction and without electric field. This work is focused on the bending of the root direction were measurement the space angle after 8, 16 and 24 hour. These values with E-field and without E-field are compared. The result indicate that the majority direction of root is bended to negative electrode.

General switching converter such as the simple high-side switching circuit inherently has unbalanced characteristics of impedance of transmission path, voltage at dc source and load terminals with respect to the frame ground. These unbalanced characteristic effects are the cause of unbalanced voltages at both dc source and load terminals. These unbalanced voltages will produce commonmode noise flowing through frame ground to the LISN during the active switch turn-off and on. This paper presents the analytical and experimental consideration of common-mode noise generation due to the unbalanced effect. The mechanism of common-mode noise generation due to unbalanced effect can be explained by equivalent circuit in both turn-off and turn-on time of the active switch. For common-mode noise reduction, the method for balancing the switching converter is also presented. Common-mode noise generated due to the effect of circuit imbalance is clarified by the experimental results. The balanced switching converter can greatly reduce the common-mode noise is also confirmed by the experimental results. © 2007 IEEE.

This paper presents the analytical and experimental consideration of the common-mod noise generation in a single-switch (buck) converter comparison to a four-switch (full-bridge) converter by the viewpoint of circuit imbalance. The mechanism of the common-mode current (noise) generation in the buck converter and full-bridge converter can be explained by equivalent circuit of unbalanced model. Common-mode noise generation due to the effect of circuit imbalance of the buck and full-bridge converter is clarified by the experimental results. © 2007 IEEE.

The Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is applied to recognize different models of a dipole-like antenna and a loop-like antenna using its radiated emission patterns, which are radiated from the electronic circuits. The radiated patterns, which are detected through the monitoring of the amplitude emitting from the antenna-like structures, are used to train the ANN. The electronic circuits (source) have various configurations that provide the different patterns; however, the trained ANN can identify the configurations all of those structure-like antennae from the radiated emission pattern measurements.

In this paper, the effect of an electric field on the growth of rice plants is studied. The research is focused on an electric field. The comparison is done under the conditions with electric field at 28.5 kV/m and without electric field. The rice plants are experimented with under the condition of the electric field. Rice is laid transversely and horizontally, respectively. The results with the electric field are compared to those without electric field. It is found that the rice plant growth with electric field has a high growth rate of the height of stems and the length of roots more so than in the case without the electric field.

The paper proposes a process to predict and analyze conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) emission using the impedance mismatch approach. Five steps of this process are introduced and analyzed. The impedance mismatch criterion is proposed based on current and voltage waveforms in the time domain. The impedance mismatch fixtures and EMI measured results show how the impedance ratio and conducted EMI emission are related. The work was done using a class E zero-voltage switching (ZVS) resonant inverter at various load conditions - unity, lagging and leading power factors. The experimental results show good agreement with simulated results, which are accomplished by the MATLAB program.

The electric field intensity is varied at 10, 20, 25 kV/m. This paper is focused on the height of stems and the length of roots. The effect of electric field intensity is evaluated on bean sprout growing. The electric field intensity is analyzed by the finite element method. Experimental results indicate that the bean sprout in high electric field intensity has a better growth in comparison with that of low electric field based on statistical analysis.

In this paper, the EMI characteristics of an off-line Single-Stage AC/DC Flyback Converter with Power Factor Correction (PFC)-Tapped Transformer are presented. Effect of universal input voltages via EMI, input current waveform, total harmonics distortion (THD) and power factor are verified and experimented. Finally, the suitable condition to design an EMI filter is proposed.

The lump-ideal-component (LIC) switch micro signal concept for the conducted emission analysis

In this paper, the Lump-Ideal-Component (LIC) switches concept is proposed. The micro level signal using conventional ideal on-off switch is not realized in the large or small signal analysis. With the proposed switch concept, the micro signal can be fundamentally derived at the switch. It leads to the possibility to form the dc-dc converter micro signal model of the conducted emission analysis using the proposed lump-ideal-component switches concept.

The efficiency improvement applied to the minimum-external-component-count active snubber boost converter by a new timing diagram is presented. The ZCS condition is occurred over the auxiliary switch at the turn on state. The main switch is achieved the ZVS turn on condition. The effectiveness of the proposed control-timing diagram soft-switching active snubber boost converter is verified experimentally.
