Item type:Publication, Design of PI controller using decoupling and CRA techniques for quadruple-tanks process(2011-12-01); ;Suksri, Tianchai ;Tipsuwanporn, Vittaya ;Trisuwannawat, ThanitTirasesth, KittiThis paper presents the design of PI controller using Decoupling and CRA technique for quadruple-tanks process. In case of, TITO interacting system such as quadruple-tanks process, the controller designs have been performed ambitiously because interferences between inputs and outputs. With the proposed method, The Decoupling controllers have been used for decreasing the cross coupling between inputs and outputs and transforming TITO plant transfer function into SISO form so that SISO controller for each SISO model can be designed easily and efficiently. Furthermore, Using CRA technique has made the output response achieve the required performance specification. Also, in non-minimum-phase, PI controller with inverted Decoupling can stabilize the system and minimize several undesirable influences from an interaction in TITO process. The results from control system design can be illustrated by the experiments. © 2011 ICROS. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Design of 2-DOF PI controller with decoupling for coupled-tank process(2007-12-01); ;Suksri, TianchaiThumma, MaitreeThis paper presents the approach to design the 2-DOF PI controller with Decoupling for a Coupled-Tank two-input two-output process. The structure of controller design can minimize several undesirable influences from an interaction in TITO Process. The decoupling controllers transform TITO plant transfer function models into SISO form so that 2-DOF PI controller for each SISO model can be designed by Root Locus Technique easily and efficiently. The results from decoupling and controller design can be illustrated by experiments. © ICROS. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Smith predictor design by CDM for temperature control system(2007-12-01) ;Thuengsripan, Santi ;Suksri, Tianchai; ;Kongratana, ViriyaSmith Predictor control is theoretically a good solution to the problem of controlling the time delay systems. However, it seldom gets use because it is almost impossible to find out a precise mathematical model of the practical system and very sensitive to uncertain system with variable time-delay. In this paper is concerned, with a design method, of smith predictor for temperature control system by Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM). The simulation results show that the control system with smith predictor design by CDM is stable and robust whilst giving the desired time domain system performance. © ICROS. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Design of decoupled controller for TITO system using characteristic ratio assignment(2007-12-01); ;Wongkhum, Theerachai ;Suksri, Tianchai; Most control performances in actual design are usually defined by the time domain response such as overshoot, rising time, settling time, steady state error, etc.. There are few control design methods, which are able to apply directly to the purpose. The pole placement method is the most popular. The Characteristic Ratio Assignment (CRA) is one technique of pole placement based on defined parameter of characteristic equation. This technique cans adjustment of speed response and the damping ratios by only one parameter. In this paper, CRA is use to design controller for two-input two-output (TITO) systems. By using the decentralized CRA controllers and eliminate interaction between loop transfer function with conventional decoupler design method. Several examples are present to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method and compared it with existing ones. It is show that CRA design is stable, robust, whilst giving the desired time domain performance. © ICROS. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, I-P controller design for quadruple-tank system(2004-12-01); ;Suksri, Tianchai ;Kongratana, Viriya ;Trisuwannawat, ThanitTirasesth, KittiA control system design with Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM) is proven that effective for SISO control design. But the control system design for MIMO via CDM is not concrete procedure. In this paper presents the control system design method for quadruple-tank process via CDM. By using the decentralized method for both non-minimum phase and minimum phase are made. The results from Integral-Proportional (I-P) controller's design via CDM and standard Proportional-Integral (PI) controls are also shown to compare the merits of the proposed controllers. © 2004IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Design of the two degree of freedom by root locus techniques for Quadruple-tank(2004-09-27) ;Suksri, Tianchai ;Kongratana, ViriyaThe controls design of 2-DOF for SISO process by root locus method, is not complicated and efficiently, it can design the controls system to have the transient and steady state responses, and do not adjust gain of controller. However, due to controls design for MIMO process, by root locus method, there is not exact method. This paper are present the controls design method for Quadruple-Tank Process, by root locus method that there is the structure of 2-DOF control system. For controls design will be decentralized method to design both minimum and non-minimum phases.
