Item type:Publication, An efficiency improvement of the active snubber boost converter for low power(2002-01-01) ;Tantisukarom, C. ;Tarateeraseth, V. ;Khan-ngern, W.Nitta, S.The efficiency improvement applied to the minimum-external-component-count active snubber boost converter by a new timing diagram is presented. The ZCS condition is occurred over the auxiliary switch at the turn on state. The main switch is achieved the ZVS turn on condition. The effectiveness of the proposed control-timing diagram soft-switching active snubber boost converter is verified experimentally.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Conducted emission of active snubber boost converter at design stage(2002-01-01) ;Tantisukarom, C. ;Khan-Ngern, W.Nitta, S.Conducted emission of active snubber boost converter at the design stage is presented. Simple simulation technique including emission-coupling element is proposed. Theoretical simulation result for the EMI conducted emission is verified by a 150 W AC/DC active snubber boost converter. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Conducted emission characteristic of active snubber boost converter(2001-12-01) ;Tantisukarom, C. ;Khan-ngern, W.Nitta, S.In this paper, the conducted emission characteristics of active snubber boost converter with proposed timing diagram are compared with the conventional boost converter. It is theoretically said that soft switching techniques can reduce the high switching dv/dt and di/dt rate, and as a result, it therefore could reduce EMI noise generated by hard switching. However, with increasing number of switching elements, major rate of change is still imposed on either switches, the effectiveness of soft switching technique from presented active snubber boost converter to mitigate conducted emission is considerably limited.
