Item type:Publication, Potential of marine litter for range expansion of the invasive mussel Mytella strigata (Hanley, 1843) along the Indian coast(2026-01-01) ;Gunasekaran, Kannan ;Mghili, Bilal ;Sompongchaiyakul, Penjai ;De-la-Torre, Gabrique EnriqueMachendiranathan, MayakrishnanMarine litter is a key vector of dispersing invasive species in the marine environment. However, our knowledge of the ecological interactions between these species and litter is still incomplete. Here, we investigated the substrate preferences and physical characteristics of marine litter colonized by the invasive mussel Mytella strigata, and explored the role of litter in the population expansion of this species along the Tamil Nadu coast, India. A total of 72 fouled debris were observed along the study areas. The majority of the fouling litter was composed of plastic (87.5 %), followed by rubber (4.2 %), wood (4.2 %), glass (2.8 %) and metal (1.4 %). A total of 2637 individuals of M. strigata were recorded on the marine litter, with recruitment on plastic substrates. Particularly, M. strigata were most common on large marine litter with irregular or cylindrical shapes, rough surfaces and transparent, blue or green colours. Our work provides evidence that marine litter can play a role in the reproduction of this invasive mussel. Consequently, M. strigata benefits from the litter substrates and the habitat complexity created by anthropogenic materials along the Tamil Nadu coast, enhancing its survival and reproduction. This could promote the expansion of the M. strigata population and thus affect the composition and structure of the marine ecosystem. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Building a Sustainable Future: Thailand's SHRM Approach to the SDGs(2024-01-01)Sa-ardnak, ArissaThree aspects of sustainable development are derived from the combination of the aim Sustainable Development Goals include: environment, society, and economy. The conceptual model of sustainable human resource management (SHRM) in Thailand is presented in this article. The factors of this framework influence the sustainable human resource management. The literature review of sustainable development, Sustainable Development Goal, and human resources management is evaluated through the synthesis of ideas founded on many categories and autonomous concepts related to sustainable human resources management. Sustainable human resource management can enhance the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Management of innovation and sustainable development of FMCG across omni-channels(2021-01-01) ;Kulchitaphong, Issarin ;Chaiyasoonthorn, WornchanokChaveesuk, SinghaThis paper attempts to provide an insight into the management of innovation and sustainable development of FMCG across omni-channels by shoppers in Thailand. The theoretical model was generated from the triangulation of three models based on the touchpoints of product, satisfaction, online trust & loyalty, offline trust & loyalty, and sustainable consumption. The models utilized in this study are IS success model, loyalty model and sustainable consumption model. The study used structural equation model (SEM) technique with AMOS program that consist of FMCG Shoppers on online and offline platforms with 369 respondents across Thailand. The study hypotheses were accepted, and the findings shows that most customers want to purchase products or services confidently, promptly, and easily from trusted online shops and such relationships can translate into offline benefits for the shops. The researchers recommend that brands must be honest to their customers and consider their customer benefits in all management decisions incorporating omni-channels across different platforms. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Model of factors influencing the intention to purchase lactose-free milk for the population of bangkok(2014-01-01) ;Senadisai, Panja ;Trimetsoontorn, JirasekFongsuwan, WannoMilk is an important source of protein, fat, lactose, vitamins and minerals. The nutritional value of milk from various animals, such as the highly popular cow milk, contains many useful nutrients. However, milk consumption is restricted for some consumers because they are allergic to milk. Milk allergy can be found in children and adults alike. In children, allergy symptoms include diarrhea and vomiting while the symptoms in adults include flatulence, indigestion and stomach gas. These symptoms are a result of the body's inability to digest lactose in milk due to the lack of necessary enzymes that can digest milk. A study discovered that East Asian and North American populations have the highest rate of lactose intolerance of 80-100%, followed by the Middle Eastern population at 80%. The United Kingdom population has the lowest rate of lactose intolerance at 5-15%. Bactose-free milk for adults is not yet commercially available in Thailand. Therefore, the researchers are interested in studying the level of knowledge on lactose-free products and factors influencing the intention to purchase lactose-free milk for the population of Bangkok. The researchers hope that these findings will be used to develop a guideline for suitable marketing strategies of lactose-free milk in Thailand. These findings can also provide basic information for the government sector to formulate appropriate public health plans for populations with lactose intolerance. This research used both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The scope of the research was limited to consumers over 18 years in Bangkok with total study samples of 500 subjects. The quantitative techniques used were Bath Analysis and Bartial Beast Square (BBS-Graph program) while the qualitative technique used was in-depth interview with individuals in the related fields of nutrition and food and beverage marketing. There were a total of 10 interviewees who were physicians, nutritionists and marketing experts. The research found that the factors influencing the intention to purchase lactose-free milk include consumer characteristics (age and health conditions), knowledge of lactose-free milk (consumer knowledge, public relations and brand reputation) and milk consumption behavior (milk quality and price acceptation). © 2014 Academic Journals Inc.
