Item type:Publication, Temperature effect on refractometric double ring resonator(2015-01-01) ;Mohamad, Azam ;Aziz, M. S. ;Bahadoran, Mahdi ;Chaudary, KashifArif Jalil, M.The effect of temperature on double ring resonator (DRR) glucose sensing is investigate theoretically and proposed. Different from other optical resonator, the pulse laser is used as an input source and the vertical DRR configuration is used. The concept for pulse propagation is based on the split-step Fourier method. Result shows that the detection of glucose is measured by optical losses and the losses at 26°C are 1.86 dB at through and 0.93 dB at drop port, respectively. The performance of glucose sensing on DRR is degraded by temperature. Effect of temperature creates more losses which results total loss of 2.01 dB at through and 1 dB at drop port when temperature increase by 1°C. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Effect temperature in chemical sensing using triple stage microring resonator(2015-01-01) ;Mohamad, Azam ;Bahadoran, Mahdi ;Aziz, Safwan ;Chaudary, KashifJalil, Muhammad ArifThe split-step Fourier technique is used to study the effect of temperature in triple stage microring resonating sensor (TSMRRS). The optical bright soliton beam is used as the probe pulse into the TSMRRS and the effect of temperature variations on various concentrations of glucose in deionize water is investigated. The detection of glucose is measured by intensity variations of output signals from through and drop ports of TSMRRS. The temperature variations cause an exact intensity reduction of glucose concentration in deionize water when the temperature increased by 1 °C. The performance of TSMRRS glucose sensor is improved for temperature range similar with standard room temperature which shows that TSMRRS is suitable candidate for chemical sensing application. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Temperature monitoring system for unbalance phase analysis of induction motor(2012-01-01) ;Niyompongwirat, J. ;Wararatkul, N.Suesut, T.This paper presents the temperature measurement and monitoring system for industrial induction motor (Squirrel Cage Rotor Motor). The aim of temperature monitoring system is to analyze and alarm an abnormality of the motor and prevent the damage in case of unbalance voltage. This system was tested by an induction motor of pointing machine. The experiment setup consists of a temperature measurement circuit using IC LM 35DZ with analog transformer used as a temperature sensor and transducer and the personal computer with data acquisition card from National Instrument PCI 6014 using Lab View version 7.1 for analyzing temperature data. The AC source was performed by adjusting voltage unbalance of 10%, 20% to 50% for each phase to monitor the temperature changes. This scheme can alert the operation of the motor in order to prevent damage and to extend the life time reducing maintenance costs.
