The use of electric motorcycles (EMCs) is rapidly increasing because EMCs are comparable in price to internal combustion engine motorcycles (ICE motorcycles), can be charged at home, and do not cause pollution. However, using EMCs in residential electrical systems is still a new issue in Thailand, as the Thai power grid was not originally designed to support electric vehicle charging. Therefore, the effect that may occur on the electrical system of a house should be studied. In this study, the power quality when charging an EMC in a residential electrical system is investigated by considering the circuits of various electrical devices according to their actual consumption behavior. Three electric motorcycles with battery capacities of 20, 30, and 40 Ah were used to investigate the effects of charging these motorcycles through the electrical system of a house. The experiment was conducted in a laboratory that replicated the electrical system of a house, and the conditions and patterns of power consumption were identical in all three cases. The test results were considered in terms of power quality, voltage harmonics, and current power system harmonics to analyze the effects on the electrical system in each circuit and to compare the charging differences of each motorcycle model. Next, it was determined that using an EMC is more cost-effective than using an ICE motorcycle. ICE motorcycles will eventually be completely replaced by EMCs, and our research will enable informed decision-making for electric motorcycle riders, researchers, and automotive corporations.

In the urban society of Thailand, most people use motorcycles for travelling because they can meet the manoeuvrability of travelling in short distances and save energy compared to using a car. Many people are switching to electric motorcycles (EMCs), which install EMC chargers in their residential buildings. EMC chargers are power electronic devices that may produce electrical and electromagnetic interference; therefore, it is critical to evaluate the potential influence of an EMC charger on a household electrical system and other electrical equipment before installing one. Therefore, this study examined the effects of an EMC charger on residential electrical systems with and without a photovoltaic system connection as well as on individual load types in terms of power quality. The investigation revealed that EMC charging has a direct impact on the grid system's reactive power, power factor, and current harmonics. However, when the electrical load in the system has sufficient power, it is possible to reduce the reactive power and current harmonics of the grid. The cost of electricity when an EMC is connected to a residential electrical system was also analysed to determine the metre type and charging interval suitable for Thailand.

In industrial systems, solar power systems are used to reduce environmental impact and use less energy from the grid. Solar energy systems have non-linear electrical characteristics that cause harmonic problems. Such problems result in damage to electrical equipment despite the small amount of harmonic current. This paper presents a suitable and simple analytical method to solve this problem by installing a passive filter.

The use of non-linear power loads causes power system distortion or harmonic problems. When that problem occurs, it must be resolved in time. Therefore, this document presents an online power quality measurement system that can quickly notify events and information. Fast data acquisition results in the quick analysis as well. Finally, the electrical system will be solved by installing a hybrid filter that is suitable for that problem.

The ac drives which operate at a poor power factor decreases motor speed and injected large harmonic current and subra-harmonics into the supply network. The effects of harmonic and subra-harmonic that are injected into the network include overheating of transformers and motor and other instrumentation that were not designed with an insensitivity to harmonic in the supply. Thus, some form of harmonic and subra-harmonic mitigation is required. The PQube3 compact instrument is simply the best power monitor and real-time sensor and it records harmonic and supra-harmonics of AC drive for dry-milling system. To reduce the harmonic current and subra-harmonic injected in the network. The Hybrid Power Filter System(HPFs) are chosen because they can solve this problem with the least cost and the same effect as active filter. The results show that the association of HPFs is a very good solution for harmonic and subra-harmonic problems.
