    Single Commercially Available Integrated Circuit-based Sinusoidal Oscillators with Amplitude Adjustability and Electronic Control of Condition

    This paper presents four new sinusoidal oscillators using a commercially available integrated circuit (IC). The proposed circuits are simple topologies that employ a single commercial IC, LT1228. It is connected to passive element, consisting of four resistors and two capacitors. All derived oscillator circuits have low output impedance, allowing them to connect to other circuits without requiring an additional buffer. Using an active LT1228 device enables electronic adjustment of parameters in the proposed circuits. A feedback resistor can be used to change the output signal's amplitude without affecting the oscillation's frequency or condition. We performed both simulations using the PSPICE program and experiments to confirm the accuracy of all proposed oscillator circuits. The best total harmonic distortion was 0.13% for the proposed oscillator circuit 3. Adjusting the maximum amplitude using a resistor provides a gain of roughly 1.5–16.5 dB for the proposed oscillator circuit no. 1.

    Engineering educators’ perspectives on the feasibility of fostering sustainability through the internet of things

    The purpose of this study was to identify the feasibility of integrating the internet of things (IoT) in engineering education (EE) to promote environmental, social and economic sustainability. This purpose is explored through self-report surveys with 113 engineering educators in Thailand. Analysis relied on descriptive statistics and two-way ANOVA. Results revealed high feasibility of integration with less feasibility for social sustainability. There were no significant differences in relation to feasibility and demographic factors such as educators’ years of experience and type of EE. Respondents identified factors that can promote the integration. These were grouped into the following categories: curricula and programs, instructor and student-related factors, administrative and policy factors and technology-related factors.

    Evaluating the Impact of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy on Sustainable Innovation: A Data-Driven Analysis

    This study investigates the factors affecting sustainable innovation within Thailand's Provincial Electricity Authority, a nonprofit organization committed to sustainable energy solutions. With a focus on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy as a developmental framework, the study examines how SEP principles of moderation, prudence, and resilience contribute to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research adopts a quantitative approach to analyze how SEP influences SI in PEA's operations alongside internal and external factors like disruptive leadership, digital transformation, and national sustainability initiatives. Through a series of correlation and regression analyses, the study identifies SEP as a critical component in fostering SI, with values of virtue, risk management, and informed decision-making emerging as influential elements. The findings indicate that integrating SEP's balanced approach to production and consumption facilitates organizational resilience, enabling the PEA to navigate internal and external shocks effectively. Furthermore, the results underscore the necessity of a holistic framework where internal initiatives align with broader cultural and ecological goals. The study highlights SEP's applicability beyond the energy sector, as seen in sustainable efforts in regions like Krabi and Koh Samui, which exemplify SEP-driven approaches toward low-carbon transitions. By leveraging SEP’s sufficiency principles, organizations can strengthen sustainable practices contributing to Thailand's environmental and social well-being. The research calls for further exploration into SEP’s role across sectors, positing that SEP could be a foundational pillar alongside economic, social, and environmental dimensions to drive sustainable innovation across diverse contexts.

    The Impacts of Internal and External Factors on Developing Global Digital Innovation: A Case Study of the Provincial Electricity Authority in Thailand

    The study aimed to investigate the impacts of internal and external factors on developing global digital innovation by means of a case study of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) in Thailand. The research framework was based on the concepts of disruptive leadership, Thailand 4.0, Industry 4.0, PEA Digital Utility or Electric Utility of the Future, ICT/Digital Innovation, and Sufficiency Economy Principles (SEP). The research sample group comprised 419 PEA employees randomly selected from throughout the country. The research tools consisted of structured questionnaires on content and technical quality validated by five qualified experts. Assumptions of multiple regression analysis- normality, linearity, no multicollinearity, independence, and homoscedasticity were examined. The data verifying the assumptions were analyzed by multiple regression and PEA Digital Utility, Industry 4.0, ICT/Digital Innovation, Disruptive Leadership, and Thailand 4.0 were estimated for the development of global digital innovation. It was also found that most PEA employees, or 51.55 percent, refer to the innovation they know of as PEA Smart Plus. This is because PEA will focus on the use of communication technology to improve efficiency in the distribution system which is the foundation for further development of other parts of the system. Furthermore, most PEA employees identified innovation as being environmentally friendly.

    Single Input Multiple Output Voltage Mode Universal Filters with Electronic Controllability Using Commercially Available ICs

    This contribution presents the realization of commercially available ICs based single input voltage and three-output voltages universal second order filters with electronic controllability. Both proposed filters comprise two commercially available ICs LT1228, three passive resistors and two grounded passive capacitors. Two presented filters give low-pass (LP) voltage transfer function, band-pass (BP) voltage transfer function and high-pass (HP) voltage transfer function without modifying the scheme. The filtering parameters, center frequency (ω0) is tuned electronically as well as quality factor (Q) via controlling external DC bias currents. Moreover, the ω0 is linearly and electronically controlled without disturbing the Q by simultaneously changing bias currents. Using grounded capacitors are easy for the cancellation of parasitic element effects in LT1228s. The Pspice simulation and experimental results using integrated circuit, LT1228 are given to verify the filtering design.

    Voltage-mode biquad filter using three lt1228s with independent and electronic control of center frequency and quality factor

    In this paper, we describe a voltage-mode (VM) biquad universal filter with one input and four outputs that can be tuned electronically. The filter proposed here is composed of three LT1228 commercial integrated circuits (ICs), seven resistors and two grounded capacitors. The proposed versatile biquad filter simultaneously provides four filtering functions: An inverting low-pass filter (LP), an inverting high-pass filter (HP), a non-inverting bandpass filter (BP), and an inverting notch filter (BR) without changing its topology. Employing two grounded capacitors minimizes the influence of parasitic resistances and capacitances on the proposed circuit's performance. Also, the output voltage nodes of the HP and BR functions have low output impedances. This means that these two filtering functions don't need voltage buffers to connect to other voltage-mode topologies. The center frequency (ω<inf>0</inf>) of the presented filter is electronically controlled and does not influence the quality factor (Q). In addition, they can also be tuned linearly without affecting each other. PSPICE software was used to analyze the modelling results, while a laboratory experiment was performed using LT1228 commercial ICs.
