Item type:Publication, Personnel Learning Behavior in the Workplace: A Study of Workplace Habits(2020-01-01); Workplace learning is becoming an essential part for an organization to enhance an employee’s knowledge and skill to deliver an enterprise’s business sustainability. To develop a suitable model for workplace learning, this paper aims to investigate learning behavior for personnel in a workplace and to understand the factors that influence learning behavior for technical staff of a plastic packaging company in Bangkok. The data was collected by using a questionnaire that included 3 parts; 1) personal factors 2) learning behavior of personnel in the workplace and 3) factors that influence learning behavior of personnel in the workplace. The target group was 75 technical staff members by a multi-stage sampling. The research findings were that from 3 ways of informal learning behavior in workplace are self-directed learning, networking, and coaching and mentoring, a target group behavior to agree with highest score of self-directed learning at the average score of 3.62, compared with network learning and coaching learning which neither agree nor disagree at average score 3.36 and 3.32, respectively. Moreover, challenges on their job is the most influential factor of their learning behavior in the workplace at average score 3.64 followed by a confidence level and support from the company with an average score 3.53 and 3.38, respectively. Results from the study show that mostly staffs were interested in learning by themselves with encouragement from challenges, confidence level, and support from the organization. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Online Learning Model for Graduate Level to Support COVID-19 Pandemic(2023-01-01)The COVID-19 Outbreak Situation caused educational institutions to close teaching to prevent the spread of harmful infections to students and other related personnel when the school was closed but students still had to study continuously. Online teaching is therefore the fastest and most suitable way to solve problems that arise; most especially at the graduate level Master’s Degree Ph.D. or even post-doctoral studies. It is very important that students and teachers have proper communication in order to achieve the desired academic achievements. This research presents an appropriate model for postgraduate online teaching in response to the COVID-19 time. The format consists of three activities: before, during and after online classes for students and teachers. In this regard, students and teachers can adapt to use according to their own suitability and the situation they are facing. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The effect of nanotechnology on education(2008-05-15)The research objective was to study 1) the situation and readiness of the Thai education for the integration of nanotechnology and 2) to propose the plans, the strategies and guidelines for educational reform to adapt nanotechnology to the system. The data collection was done by 4 methods: 1) documentary study, 2) observation, 3) informal interviews, and 4) group discussion. The findings revealed that: 1. William Wresch's Theory (1997) was used in this research to study of the situation and readiness of the Thai education for the integration of nanotechnology. 1) Getting connected to nanotechnology by search engine websites, libraries, magazines, books, and discussions with experts. 2) Curriculum integration: nanotechnology should be integrated in many branches of engineering, such as industrial, computer, civil, chemical, electrical, mechanical, etc. 3) Resources for educators: nanotechnology knowledge should be spread in academic circles by publications and the Internet websites. 4) Training and professional resources for teachers: Teachers should be trained by experts in nanotechnology and researchers from the National Nanotechnology Center. This will help trainees get correct knowledge, comprehension, and awareness in order to apply to their professions and businesses in the future. 2. As for the plans, the strategies, and guidelines for educational reform to adapt nanotechnology to the present system, I analyzed the world nanotechnology situation that might have an effect on Thai society. The study is based on the National Plan to Develop Nanotechnology. The goal of this plan is to develop nanotechnology to be the national strategy within 10 years (2004-2013) and have it integrated into the Thai system. There are 4 parts in this plan: 1) nanomaterials, 2) nanoelectronics, 3) nanobiotechnology, and 4) human resources development. Data for human resource development should be worked with the present technology and use the country's resources to produce many products of nanotechnology, such as 1) handicrafts, decorations, and gifts, 2) agricultural products and food, 3) beverages, such as alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks, and 5) textiles. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Analysis of Fake News and the Level of Cognitive Perception of Undergraduate Students in the University in Thailand(2019-01-01)The purpose of this study aimed to study the relationship between fake news and the cognitive perception of online sources of Thai public. With intensified use in a world of IT devices, more knowledge is available. The Thai trait of belief in all printed or published media must be changed for fake news to be discerned by users. A survey was made by 500 online questionnaires found that much news on social media outlets was a scam, incite feelings against or for a group of people. In Thailand, the general person easily believes in media platform because they are written, and supported by pictures and testimonial information. Fake news was used (1) online items and trusted as things printed are true (2) people express good or bad feelings for a public person, Thai people must for educated form early to doubt.
