Item type:Publication, A blended learning model for learning achievement enhancement of thai undergraduate students(2016-01-01) ;Banyen, W.; Research was undertaken to develop a blended learning model which contained three objectives. They were to 1) study student and teacher input for a blended learning model using a Thai university undergraduate course in information, innovation, and technology in education for the learning management conditions and improvement methods; 2) to research how to effectively improve the blended learning model and instructional media in accordance with the 80/80 criteria and 3) compare learning achievements and information literacy between student groups using the blended learning method and traditional learning method with information literacy as the covariate. The research was divided into three phases consisting of the development of the conceptual framework, a second phase which studied the blended learning model using both e-learning and face-toface methods with a 60/40 ratio. When applying a technology system to learning management utilizing instructional media, it was determined to be 81.53/80.11. Phase 3 found that blended learning affected learning and information literacy by at least 1 variate which had a different mean score from traditional learning with a statistical significance at the 0.05 level. The findings showed that the Thai university undergraduate students were satisfied with the blended learning model which was due to the change in the learning system as well as being tasked with interesting and challenging computer based lessons outside class. This was later enforced through teacher delivered lesson summaries during formal class time. Students understood the content better, enjoyed the self-directed learning and doing things independently. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Development of a problem-based learning model via a virtual learning environment(2017-09-01) ;Phungsuk, Rojana; The primary objective of this research was the development of a problem-based learning model using a virtual learning environment (VLE) for undergraduate students in the Photography for Communication Arts course. The model supports and enhances students' learning, achievements and problem-solving skills. An efficiency test for the model revealed an above average set of criteria at 80/83.93, which conformed to the research hypothesis. The principles of instructional systems design (ISD) and systems approach were integrated into the design and assessment phases of model development, which resulted in more effective management of relevant instructional courses and materials. Based on its efficiency and potential application to real-life situations, the model has been deemed suitable by experts. The selected student group in the problem-based learning model via VLE achieved higher test scores compared to a group of students in a normal classroom with a statistical significance of.05. Because students learn using models that promote self-awareness and make it possible to choose their own topic of study employing resources provided by VLE, an assessment of their work quality found that they gained more knowledge of information technology as well as access to up-to-date information. Students are able to choose the most comfortable time to study. The model encourages students to learn through participation, practice problem-solving skills on an individual basis, and exchange ideas with other members of a group. The virtual environment involves many forms of media and materials that stimulate students' interest in learning and results in higher satisfaction. The gap in the communication channel between students and teachers is reduced due to easier and more informal communication. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Examining the motivation level of students in e-learning in higher education institution in Thailand: A case study(2018-11-01) ;Kew, Si Na; ; Tasir, ZaidatunThe rapid growth of Internet technology has resulted in the development of e-learning in higher education institution with the purpose of enhancing students’ performance in their learning practice. In this regard, motivation is one of the important predictors of intention to use e-learning that can in turn make impact on students’ learning practice. By knowing the motivation level of students, instructors can provide suitable teaching materials in e-learning for students to make them more engaged in e-learning activities. Nonetheless, based on the recent review studies result, there is limited research on investigating motivation level of students in e-learning in higher education institution in Thailand. Hence, this study aims to explore the motivation level of students in e-learning in higher education institutions in Thailand, using the Instructional Materials Motivation Survey and interview as the research instruments. A total of 174 students from higher education institutions in Thailand were involved in this study. SPSS software was used to analyse the data to investigate the motivation level of students, and also to compare the different motivation level of students between gender, degree level of study, branch of study and year of study. The result shows that most of the students had upper medium level of motivation level in e-learning, and there was a statistically significant difference in motivation level between the different degree levels of students. Also, the ways to enhance motivation suggested by the respondents were also discussed in this paper as a reference for the future use. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, A Thai junior high school students' 21st century information literacy, media literacy, and ICT literacy skills factor analysis(2018-01-01); ; ; As Thailand moves through the 21st Century, the education system and resultant labor force must be prepared for rapid changes in Thailand's society, culture, politics, economy, and technologies. Previously, the 21st century framework has identified crucial elements for future success as information literacy, media literacy, and information and communication technology (ICT) literacy skills. Given this priority, by use of multistage clustering sampling, 380 Thai junior high school students were selected, from which a five level, 73-item Likert type agreement scale questionnaire was used to collect data from October 2017to December 2017. The analysis of the student's skills in information literacy, media literacy, and ICT literacy was conducted with the use of SPSS Version 24 software mean (χ), standard deviation (S.D.), the Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) test, and Bartlett's test of sphericity for analysis. Furthermore, a second-order confirmatory factor analysis was undertaken in which AMOS Version 24 software was used. Based on the second order CFA, it was found that the Information, Media and Technology Skills (IMTS) model was composed of three components that corresponded to the empirical data, with the most important element being ICT literacy (.998), followed by media literacy (.992), and finally, information literacy (.947). - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Thailand’s automotive service quality customer satisfaction: A servqual model cfa of suzuki mo(2018-01-01) ;Chaichinarat, Pichaipat; ; Thailand’s automotive industry is the 12th largest in the world and plays an important role in Thailand’s economy. Under the government mandated Thailand 4.0 vision, the automotive sector has been identified as one of the 10 crucial sectors for future economic growth. Within this sector, service quality has repeatedly been identified as one of the most competitive factors amongst the major dealers. Service quality is a fundamental aspect of service provisioning, which demonstrates excellence and long-term success. The purpose of this paper is, therefore, to investigate service quality within Thailand’s Suzuki Motor Company by adopting the five dimensions of the SERVQUAL model (tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy) for analysis. Additionally, the study also examined the validity of the service quality model and compared service quality satisfaction amongst Thailand’s Suzuki Motor Company service staff. By using multi-stage random sampling, 537 customers responded. Using both quantitative and qualitative research methods, the main research instrument was a questionnaire which used a 5-point Likert type agreement scale. An analysis was undertaken in which the mean ( standard deviation (S.D.), correlation analysis, and percentage were evaluated. Furthermore, a second-order confirmatory factor analysis was performed using Mplus Version 8 software. The statistical values were Chi-square = 2572.016, df = 979, RMSEA =.07, SRMR =.051, TLI =.901, CFI =.912. Results from the five identified dimensions were in line with the hypothesized model, with the weight of all the variables being positive. Item type:Publication, The development of structural equation model of critical thinking among nursing students(2017-01-01) ;Srisawad, Kanjana; These were to study the critical thinking of nursing students, and to develop and check the goodness of fit of the Structural Equation Model of critical thinking among nursing students, which was compared with an empirical data set. There were 549 first year nursing students. Multi-stage random sampling was used in this research, by cluster random sampling from 20 private higher education institutions that provide nursing courses, comprising 25 percent, and random sampling 5 private higher education institutions, in order to gain 549 samples for this study. These were critical thinking questionnaires and variable effects of critical thinking questionnaires. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and the Structural Equation Model. This research indicated that the goodness of fit test of the Structural Equation Model of critical thinking among nursing students was applicable. The results showed the following statistical values: Chi-square = 284.895, df = 248, p-value = 0.054, RMSEA = 0.016, RMR = 0.009, GFI = 0.968, CFI = 0.997 and χ<sup>2</sup>/df = 1.149; this indicated that the Structural Equation Model goodness of fit matched the empirical data quite well. The Self Efficiency, Emotional Intelligence, and Learning Style variables had positively direct effects on critical thinking (b = 0.371, 0.370 and 0.376). The Internal Locus of Control had a negatively direct effect on critical thinking (b = −0.120). In conclusion, in theoretical and practical teaching, nursing academies should promote critical thinking among nursing students by using the following variables: self-efficiency, emotional intelligence, learning style, and internal locus of control. This model should be used to develop complementary courses on critical thinking for nursing students.
