Item type:Publication, Prototypical robotic fish with swimming locomotive configuration in fluid environment(2011-07-26); ;Suwanchit, N.Lumpuprakarn, R.Aquatic animal has always inspired many researchers' interest to develop such living creations' behavioral robots. Numbers of animal-liked aquatic robots have been invented in the past; however, very few works involved the study of full behavioral movement of these aquatic animals. This paper presents a study and design of a robotic fish that imitate natural aquatic animals' forms of locomotion by focusing on the apparatus of swimming performances. The main research focus is the behavioral movement of the propulsion and maneuvering of a robotic fish in a fluid environment. The robot could dynamically generate a series of behavior selection network to form the operational plan, avoiding obstacle as well as fish-liked maneuver; forward, backward and turning. This robot differs from other research that not only uses the tail peduncle to propel its movement but also use pectoral fin in stabilizing and maneuvering. The proposed paradigm has been implemented to develop a prototypical robotic fish. The experiments also illustrate the conventionality, and the robustness of such a fish-robot framework. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Dynamic content selection based on an associative semantic processing network(2012-01-01); Lumpuprakarn, R.Uniqueness of cognitive human thinking stays a secret of unrevealed natural creation. Technological intelligence has tried to mimic or follow such operation to form an even more brilliant system. This research proposes a method of e-learning or distance learning system with dynamic content nomination for each user that correspond to their learning reaction. Done by the theory of human memory or spreading activation network-SAN, the proposed e-learning system employs this human cognitive mechanism (SAN) with the system processing scheme. The system procedure with intime factors of users including system input, user reaction, service event, and content medium are processed in order to evaluate and provide most suitable advices, learning contents or learning activities for each user individually. While the user goes through the individually designed learning content, the system continues utilizing SAN to analyze in-time learning condition and furnish course agenda toward the learning objectives.
