Item type:Publication, P-Type optoelectronic and transparent conducting oxide properties of delafossite CuAl1/2Fe1/2O2(2015-12-03); ;Jindajitawat, Phumin; ;Harnwunggmoung, AdulCharoenphakdee, AnekCuAl<inf>1/2</inf>Fe<inf>1/2</inf>O<inf>2</inf> delafossite was prepared using a solid-state reaction method to investigate its optical and electronic transport properties. CuAl<inf>1/2</inf>Fe<inf>1/2</inf>O<inf>2</inf> formed a hexagonal delafossite structure with an R3¯m space group. The positive Seebeck coefficient and the direct optical gap of 3.6 eV confirmed that the CuAl<inf>1/2</inf>Fe<inf>1/2</inf>O<inf>2</inf> delafossite in a p-type transparent conducting oxide. The fluorescence emission at 390 nm (green emission) confirmed that CuAl<inf>1/2</inf>Fe<inf>1/2</inf>O<inf>2</inf> has a direct transition band gap. Thermogravimetric analysis indicated a weight loss of 1.2%, caused by the intercalation of O atoms, which produced hole carriers from the different ionic radii at the B sites. The electric conductivity at room temperature was thermally activated, as predicted by the small-polaron hopping mechanism, with an activation energy of 75 meV and a charge transport energy of 61 meV. CuAl<inf>1/2</inf>Fe<inf>1/2</inf>O<inf>2</inf> delafossite exhibited p-type optoelectronic behavior and is a transparent conducting oxide, which may be crucial in the p-type photonic and electrode industries. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Preparation, characterization, and supercapasitive properties of CoO-NiO microflowers incorporated with graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide hybrid materials(2018-01-01) ;Saei, Worawee; This research investigated the preparation, characterization and supercapacitive properties of cobalt oxide-nickel oxide (CoO-NiO) microflowers incorporated with graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (RGO) nanosheets. These hybrid materials were easily prepared through a direct mixing of CoO-NiO powder suspended in acidic solution with the appropriate amount of GO and RGO loading to make CoO-NiO/GO and CoO-NiO/RGO hybrid samples, respectively. Then, the obtained hybrid samples were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) techniques. The results demonstrated that the crystalline phases and functional groups of all hybrid samples are corresponding to pristine CoO-NiO and RGO. SEM results showed that the CoO-NiO microflowers were impregnated and well-combined with both GO and rGO nanosheets. Moreover, the supercapacitive behavior of pristine CoO-NiO and all hybrid samples were studied using cyclic voltammetry (CV) technique. The results revealed that all hybrid samples exhibited much higher the current density than those of the bare CoO-NiO. Thus, this research indicates that the supercapacitive properties of CoO-NiO incorporated with both GO and RGO hybrid materials are superior to the pure CoO-NiO microflowers. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Third-harmonic generation in tunable nonlinear hyperbolic metamaterial(2018-01-01) ;Wicharn, SurawutIn this research, a third-harmonic generation (THG) in a tunable nonlinear hyperbolic metamaterial (TNHM) has been investigated numerically. The TNHM is consisted of periodically arranging of multilayered graphene layers system for controlled optical properties purpose, and ordinary nonlinear dielectric layer. The possibility of TNHM permittivity dispersion controlled by number of graphene layers and external bias voltage to graphene layers was satisfied, then the structure has created the nearly perfect phase-matching scheme based on epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) behavior of the nonlinear medium. Finally, the optimal designed TNHM structure with sufficient bias voltage have given the forwardand backward-direction TH pulses, which the backward-forward TH intensity ratio is closely unity. The THG conversion efficiencies have been maximized after increasing the pumping level to 800 MW/cm<sup>2</sup>. From this study, the optimal designed TNHM can be applied as a bi-directional nonlinear frequency converters in nanophotonic systems. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

It can be develop as a standard wavelength according to the recommendation made by the Comite' International des Poids et Measures (CIPM). This study investigates various parameters that effect wavelength and laser power of the Nd:YAG laser such as injection current of diode laser, temperature of Nd:YAG crystal and second harmonic generator crystal. Item type:Publication, The investigation of thermal effect on dynamical shape changing of solder paste by using double-view digital holography(2015-01-01) ;Thong-On, T. ;Prakobsang, T. ;Pethsanthad, W. ;Boonsri, C.Plaipichit, S.In this paper we propose a modern technique to evaluate the shape changes of solder paste by using double-view in-line digital holography. We observed the transformation of three different kinds of solder paste composition: pure solder paste, solder paste mixed with 0.02%, 0.05%, 0.10% graphene (GPN) and 0.02%, 0.05%, 0.10% graphene oxide (GPNO), respectively. The shape of the solder pastes was investigated at different melt temperatures (i.e. 200°C, 250°C, and 300°C) for 30 seconds using a collimated beam propagating through the solder paste, then being double reflected on a mirror and second incident on another sides of the solder paste. The double images bearing beams were recorded with a CCD sensor simultaneously. The single recorded digital hologram from double view technique was reconstructed using digital holography. The results show that the double-view technique provides reliably data. Moreover, it would be developed for observing more than two images by single holography writing in the future. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Reinvestigation thermoelectric properties of CuAlO2(2014-01-01); ;Kosalwat, Wattana; ;Jindajitawat, PhuminBulk CuAlO2 delafossite has been synthesized by solid state reaction to reinvestigate the thermoelectric properties. The electrical conductivity, Seebeck coefficient and thermal conductivity were measured in a high temperature range of 300 to 960 K. The result of positive sign of Seebeck coefficient confirms p-type nature of CuAlO2 compund. The results of bulk sample for Seebeck coefficient, the electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity are range of 900 to 300 μV/K, of 0.01 to 2 S/cm, and of 3.5 W/mK to 1.5 W/mK. The maximum ZT value of bulk sample is 0.017 at a 960 K. These results can be concluded that the bulk CuAlO2 by solid state state displays thermoelelctric material. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Demonstration of a single-wavelength spectral-imaging-based Thai jasmine rice identification(2011-07-20) ;Suwansukho, Kajpanya ;Sumriddetchkajorn, SarunA single-wavelength spectral-imaging-based Thai jasmine rice breed identification is demonstrated. Our nondestructive identification approach relies on a combination of fluorescent imaging and simple image processing techniques. Especially, we apply simple image thresholding, blob filtering, and image subtracting processes to either a 545 or a 575nm image in order to identify our desired Thai jasmine rice breed from others. Other key advantages include no waste product and fast identification time. In our demonstration, UVC light is used as our exciting light, a liquid crystal tunable optical filter is used as our wavelength seclector, and a digital camera with 640 active pixels × 480 active pixels is used to capture the desired spectral image. Eight Thai rice breeds having similar size and shape are tested. Our experimental proof of concept shows that by suitably applying image thresholding, blob filtering, and image subtracting processes to the selected fluorescent image, the Thai jasmine rice breed can be identified with measured false acceptance rates of <22:9% and <25:7% for spectral images at 545 and 575nm wavelengths, respectively. A measured fast identification time is 25ms, showing high potential for real-time applications. © 2011 Optical Society of America. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Backward Third-Harmonic Pulse Generation in a One-Dimensional PIM/NIM Structure(2018-12-19); ;Wicharn, S.In this work, a set of couple-mode equations for describing a backward third harmonic generation (BTHG) in a one-dimensional periodic structure of positive-index material (PIM) layers and third-order nonlinear negative-index material (NIM) layers was analysed using multiple-scale method. Item type:Publication, The Property Investigation of Solder Mixed with Thermoelectrics Alzno by Using Digital Holography(2018-08-10) ;Prakobsang, Tawipon ;Plaipichit, Suwan; In this paper in-line digital holography(DH) technique was used to investigate some properties of solder paste mixed with different percent weight of thermoelectric type AlZnO. By using reconstructed image results different properties of the compound solder pastes i.e. the contact angles, flux thickness were investigated. In addition, their electrical resistance also measured. From our reconstructed image results DH technique plus some computer programming would be one of efficient technique using in electronic industry in the future.
