    Positioning uses radio waves such as AM, FM, telephone, and wireless signals. Which have been studied by many research for this thesis, consider finding positions using signals. The digital terrestrial television signal was used for positioning. The measurement model is designed with 121 positions covering an area of lO× 10 square meters by installing an antenna receiving height of 1 meter for reference height and 6 meters as specified by the NBTC. The distance from the transmit antenna to the receiving antenna is about 26 kilometers, using spectrum analyzers to measure and collect the results for analysis and compare the distance errors by using a fingerprinting technique and clean algorithm and a clean algorithm to get the most suitable signal. It can be seen that the distance error is reduced. So, it will be more accurate and the basis for future studies. Moreover, it can locate more accurately using digital terrestrial television signals, The DVB-T2 standard digital terrestrial television signal and fingerprinting technique, and the CLEAN algorithm.

    ;
    The performance of propagation analysis of DVB-T2 (Digital Video Broadcasting - Second Generation Terrestrial) is very significant for digital television broadcasting. That will analyze the effectiveness of the setting parameters that use for suitable of broadcasting. This paper provides the performance evaluation of DVB-T2 for fixed reception by the received signal measurement. The field measurements were taken in Bangkok of Thailand, along 20 locations. The receiver used to analyze the DVB-T2 signal providing several quality measurements (Power, C/N, MER, BER, constellation diagram, etc.).The results of the study could be useful for the improvement of DVB-T2 broadcast such as transmitter adjustment and gap filler transmitter installation to optimize the efficiency of digital television broadcasting.

    This paper presents an analysis of digital television broadcasting, that used DVB-T2 standard, in Bangkok Thailand. The result of analysis has derived from signal measurement 20 location in Bangkok. The measurement location consists of several difference areas such as an urban area, high building area, open area. The measurement's result are consists of signal strength, C/N, MER, SNR, NsMAR, bBER, LBER, power output after combiner. The measurement illustrates the effect of attenuation and interference in propagation channel. The propose of this study is checking DVB-T2 channel characteristic approximately attenuation between transmitted antenna at base station and received antenna at far field. The result of the analysis could be useful for improve and design the digital television broadcasting network.

    This paper describes the evaluation of DVB-T2 transmission channel in Bangkok Thailand. The DVB-T2 test signal is transmitted in Bangkok Thailand. Type of transmission channel were used including Gaussian, Rician for fix rooftop reception. The measurements are consisting of a several environments such as open area, urban area, high building area. The measurement result are include Power Output from transmitter after combiner, LBER, bBER, NsMAR (Noise Margin), MER (Modulation Error Ratio), SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio), CNR (Carrier to Noise Ratio), and Signal. The measurement result of this paper lead to the evaluation of DVB-T2 transmission channel for environment of Bangkok, Thailand and could be useful to improve and to design the digital television broadcasting network in Thailand especially in urban area like Bangkok.

    Digital television terrestrial (DTT) of Thailand used digital video broadcasting terrestrial 2nd generation (DVB-T2). The DVB-T2 transmission loss should be knowing and study. However the DVB-T2 propagation channels performance is very importance for Thailand. This paper evaluation of DVB-T2 propagation channel base on measurement data. In the experimental study of DVB-T2 propagation channel in Bangkok environment for DTT network for portable in urban areas in Bangkok Thailand at MCOT channel 40 at the frequency 626MHz. In these results to evaluate the power loss, probability density function (pdf), commutative distribution function (cdf).

    Empirical single frequency network threshold for DVB-T2 based on laboratory experiments
    (2019-01-01)
    Ruckveratham, Bundit
    ;
    DVB-T2 broadcasting with a single frequency network (SFN) allows an efficient management of frequency utilization and extends the coverage area, which will enable more people to view a broadcast. The SFN mode also increases the concentration of the signal in overlap areas. However, some difference of overlap areas in actual use of SFN networks may have some degradation of the received signal due to the effect of the SFN. In this research, we analyze SFN broadcasting in SISO mode. This paper represents the effects of delays on the SFN signal over different delay times within the guard interval (GI) by analyzing the minimum reception threshold. The analysis of received signal power, MER, bBER, LBER, and noise margin are studied using an actual digital television transmitter for the experiment. The results show that the minimum thresholds for a delay time at 0 microseconds will require higher receive signal power than other delay times within the GI. The results of this experiment are useful in designing the SFN network and make it possible to determine the appropriate C/N threshold for the design of the digital terrestrial television network.

    Evaluation of DTTV Transmission for SFN with Minimum Threshold in Thailand
    (2020-12-01) ; ;
    Ruckveratham, Bundit
    The digital terrestrial television (DTTV) transmission based on digital video broadcasting-terrestrial second generation (DVB-T2) for a single frequency network (SFN) shall be studied. The DTTV signal performance is very important. Therefore, the performance of DTTV should be studied. SFN is a key factor in DVB-T2 technology due to the benefits of SFN. In order to evaluate the DVB-T2 performance, this research had investigates broadcasting reception threshold of DVB-T2 signal. The experiment was done in a laboratory of Mass Communication Organization of Thailand company, Thailand, and field experiment was done in urban area of Sing Buri, Thailand. The measurement model was set up to measure the the DTTV performance parameter with respected to guard interval delay time of two SFN transmitters. The acceptable result of minimum power, received signal, CNR, MER, and transmission loss are presented. The reliability of the result was validated by using polynomial. The measurement results provided a useful information for optimization and modeling of DTTV broadcasting for SFN system with DVB-T2 in Thailand.
